Fark yes man, love this song. Can't get enough of it. SHM is pretty mainstream but they always produce really good music. You surely would of heard of this little delight too then:

I'll give a heads up: 00:00-01:00 yeah it's alright I guess, 01:00-02:50 yeah I guess it could be a fat tune, 02:50 holy FARK THIS BEAT IS INSANE! Working out to that tune is so good. It's a shame it doesn't last for longer.

Why come in this thread if you don't like house music? What genre(s) do you like then?

70's ehh. 80's I have more hair band knowledge that I know what to do with. It's why my spelling is so bad. No room for anymore knowledge since it's crambed full of 80's rock!

I have been listening to edm for almost 19 years. I have worked at lengendary night clubs in nyc. I have gone to other countries for festivals and parties. Half my friends produce or Dj. I have DJ equipment and months and months of music from all different genres.

While I understand every genre has its commercial version of music I just cant stand SHM. Its ridiculous how untalented they are and how much money they make. They are EDM version of Katie Perry. Not to mention they have been caught numerous times playing pre recorded cds at live events. These types of djs have ruined the club scene in NYC. Turned everything to a bunch of knuckle heads putting their paychecks together to buy tables and sit with girls who think they actually have money when they still live at home.

If Snooki, pauly d and ronnie are dancing to this at Karma its not house music. Its shit

I was at d36 this year in April for Luciano which was by far the best party that club has scene. Otherwise that place is a dump and I think its closing down actually. My friends did the door at pacha up until about two years ago. The owner of pacha is money driven like any smart business owner and he is catering to the new sound that is out. I was at pacha briefly 3 months ago for a calderone party but these youngs kids are so lame nowadays.

I am old (mid 30's) by legendary I am talking about the tunnel, lime light, club usa, carbon, twilo. The scene has moved from manhattan to brooklyn now. If you want to go to great parties check out the black market parties on the resident advisor website. granted some of them can be a crack den but the djs are top notch.

On Hallowed I went to hear Gaiser and Barem who are both from Richie Hawtins minus label. Greta night of punding bassy techno

I hate Pacha and D36. My ex would always drag me to those shit holes, then she would drag me to some shit hole dungeon after hours place in Queens. I lived in North Jersey for a while, right outside the GWB. I dreaded going to the NYC club scene, maybe because I grew up pretty fast - but in those places, you will see some shit. Tranny's everywhere. You know how it is...

I dont mean to come off snobby but I have seen so many people that are so talented (more talent in their pinky then SHM) fail and to watch guys like this get so rich drives me crazy. Take the above track in the thread. They made some commercial loop otherwise its someone elses talents on the vocal. LIke what did they really do lol

There are guys out there they dont even DJ anymore. They are god damn entertainers with all the programs they use for efx adding elements to tracks. True musicla genuis while shm plays one track from another and screams lets go and first pumps lol

Ahhh it sounds like you were at system in astoria. I went there a couple of months back for Robag which was a black market party otherwise that place is a colombian after hours and its a gross dump.

I am in a stressful sales job but make great money. I am not a bar guy and at this point in my life after about 3 beers I either start acting stupid and want to go to sleep or start looking for a toot. Either way its not the right look for me. So I got out every couple of months only when I quality dj comes in to town. The black market parties have great crowds but the after hours crowds can nowadays are drug addicts and weirdos.

I went to Alegria with a girl I was dating bc the gay club nights in NYC have music that was insane. I made it like an hour in there because the shit that goes on was not normal. The club scene can be a scary place if you dont know when to call it a night

Ah a techno fan I see. I definitely used to love my techno. I can't lie though, I'm a huge fan of progressive house and progressive trance. I definitely love my trance, it just seems to really evoke emotions and some songs are really just amazing in so many ways. Some people would probably call some of the trance songs phaggy and homo or whatever, but they are really nice. But yeah I agree on so many artists today being so untalented. I'm not really into dubstep, but this is a perfect example. Look at this, this guy is insane. I would pay to see this guy in a club live using a beatpad, and he would shit all over Skrillex:

If I lay out techno tracks most of them are not going to be on you tube. If you want I can put links for those djs sets in this thread and you guys can download them

This is very old from the late days in Sound factory. Its still a vocal I enjoy.

this was a classic for NYC. Its hard for me to listen to classic stuff though. A lot of the sounds are kind of annoying. Some of it is good to play every once in awhile but I am all about new music and the evolution of it. Some people get it some people dont.

I will admit SHM is pretty overrated. I like a few of their songs, but but I'm not a die hard fan. The most overrated is Deadmau5. They are COMPLETE trash. People only go see them to wear those stupid fvcking masks and act like a jackass.

Yep. I think it was System I was talking about. Never again. Most after hours places hold some of the biggest addicts and low lives I've ever seen. However, the absolute WORST spot, regarding scumbags and losers, is SURF CLUB right next to Seaside Heights, NJ. I bounced there one summer, couldn't take it anymore. Ever been to that dump?

Another one of my favourites at the moment, another classic played at Tomorrowland lol. You really have to have good speakers with great bass to appreciate good house music:
