Feeling a little depressed...
Hey guys, I'm not really feeling the best today. I dunno if it's the weather being rainy and overcast, the Anavar (which I doubt, surely the Anavar couldn't make me feel this way) or I just generally feel like ****ing shit. There are so many things to do, and I'm twenty already. I want to travel, I want to get my degree, I want to go on an exchange for half a year and study in England or the USA, I want to do a bit of deejaying and mixing my own songs, I want to buy my own car, I want to move out of home. It all feels like too much at the moment and nothing seems to be going right for me at the moment. I guess maybe all the doubters I have who don't believe I can get out and make a difference in the world and be more adventurous are right. It's all too ****ing hard sometimes. Sorry for talking all this shit guys, just don't want to talk to my mates in person about it all.

Slow down. At your age you have plenty of life ahead of you. Don't worry about achieving everything at once and for heaven's sake, stop worrying about the doubters. There will always be people in your life who say you "can't". You're not living your life to make them happy anyway so stop worrying about them. Quitters never win and winners never quit. Losers whine and winners shine. Decide who YOU want to be.
I have five university degrees and every damn time I found supporters and doubters through out my life. It made no difference because I was doing it for ME - NO ONE ELSE!
Everyone has their own demons to face in life and most people really don't worry about you. I don't mean that in a negative, rather, despite what you think, all those doubters have bigger concerns in life rather than what you do or don't do. So don't worry about them.
Any hormone manipulation will affect your mood at some point. Some days I feel charged up, other days I feel run down. If it persists, then it could be a problem needing some blood work. Daily ups and downs aren't something to sweat unless you find yourself perseverating on the negative. One of the risks of steroids and the young is whether they are emotionally ready for them. Mood swings aren't uncommon - even in the absence of steroids - but gear can enhance the effects so you need to be aware of that and realize its the gear.
Plan your work, and work your plan bro. Not everything needs to be accomplished today. Enjoy life and don't be in such a hurry to get to the finish line or you might just wish you had spent more time strolling instead of running through life!

Thanks MI. But it just feels like I have no purpose in life at the moment, no sense of direction, no idea who I am or who I want to be or who I will become. The doubters don't help man, that's for sure. They are always there, weighing me down. I mean, I'm even losing a lot of my close friends who I used to see really often. It feels like I'm on a long path that leads to nowhere. What am I doing? I don't even know.

It will pass bro everyone goes through it from time to time. It'll get better, then it'll get bad again. Usually how it goes.

At 43, I'm not sure I know if I've figured out my direction or purpose! Heck, I think the reason I spent as much time in school as I did was because I really didn't know what I wanted to do in life. I just kept doing different degrees until I finally decided it was time to do something with my life. I was living in an existential crisis! Lol
What's most important is that you find something that you enjoy/love doing. Maybe it's NOT law. I had two friends finish law school only to realize law was not their calling. They never wrote the bar exam. Today, one is an elementary school teacher, the other a senior partner in a tool and die machine shop!
Don't worry too much about it bro. There is no right or wrong choice in your life. There are simply CHOICES and just because you've set yourself on one path doesn't mean you can't follow another or even make your own path.Last edited by MuscleInk; 11-10-2012 at 03:05 PM.

Set your priorities in life and stick to them, everything else you seek will fall into place eventually. As others have pointed out, Law might not be your forte.
Pretty sure it's just lethargy from the Anavar due to the stress on your liver and suppression of your natural testosterone . I felt the same way following PCT but I'm fine now. Did you see my thread on AcornBro?

I can't say I have life figured out either. I think once I get my next job and start putting some money away I can form a plan. Maybe buy a house and take on renters. So far in life I feel lost often as well. The only thing I have managed to put together is that without lifting life is shit. When I work out towards real quantifiable goals only then do I feel like master of my destiny.

try going homeless for a week, eating at soup kitchens, sleeping on cots, or under bridges, It could have a profound effect on your outlook on life.
try meditation.

Who you are now and who you are 10 years from now will be totally different. When I was 20, I associated with totally different people than I do now at 32. You're going to find out those friends you had are going down their own path and you're bound to drift apart from most of them. But guess what? You meet new friends along the way.
As far as doubters go, they're everywhere and everybody has them. People want others to fail in life so that they can justify their own failures. And as far as your purpose in life goes, there is no real purpose. We construct that ourselves. You do that by exploring your interests and discovering who you are. It's not something you'll figure out in a weekend or even a year. It's life long discovery. Just enjoy the little moments when they do come.
If you're in a downer you know getting some poon might make you feel a little better. Or maybe just even flirting with some girls might bring you up. Tits always make me happy when I'm feeling blue.

Anytime I get depressed I masturbate. Helps me forget my troubles for at least 1.5 minutes.

Op. Two words for you. "You're Normal." We all go through periods of emotional instability in our lives and we all handle it differently. Age is irrelevant. Choose your path wisely.
Great advice from MI above!

why don't you pick one of these that are easy to do.....and do it. you'll feel more accomplished and get a sense of satisfaction and then od the next one and then start making a plan for those that require more time and energy....get started!
and if you suffer from depression.....get you butt in the gym! nothing better then the natural high.
and if you think you need more help....go get it. depression can be temporary...we all go thru it...but if you need some help, please do reach out to someone...anyone...cuz life is better with you in it

Thanks buddy. Your one year younger than me, but your a knowledgeable guy and I appreciate everything you've helped me with bro. And no I haven't seen the thread, why's that?
Yeah I've recently written out a list of long and short term goals. Hopefully I can make them achievable and they come to fruition. I'm still pretty young but it feels like life is going so fast.
Yeah. I feel like I need to find something that will open my eyes up. I need to know who I am, I don't even feel like I know myself.
Haha yeah thanks Honkey. I guess I might be a little afraid of losing my close friends, but life must go on. I've met a lot of new people and I've lost contact with a lot of friends. Life isn't over I guess, you just have to get on with it and prove yourself to yourself. I like your second idea particularly lol. I'll hopefully go out clubbing next weekend and hit up a few twenty firsts. See how I go. Just get my smile on and good personality and hopefully we'll go from there haha.
Yeah it's not bad haha. Just a shame when it finishes unfortunately, but all good things must come to an end lol. I heard every time you masturbate you increase your number of days living by three haha.
Thanks Kel, I really appreciate it.
Aw thanks. Means a lot. Yeah I've been getting out a lot of stress in the gym, feels like the only place I can get shit done without distractions these days. A nice safe place to let everything out.
Thanks buddy, I really appreciate it. I tend to ignore the doubters and haters, but it seems they get louder and louder with every passing day.

Your purpose, and your JOB right now, is to get good grades in whatever classes or degree you're pursuing so that you can get into a good graduate school or program, or secure a top internship, or to gain admittance to whatever it is which will help you to accomplish the career goal you have in mind when you graduate, and if you dont have a career in mind right now thats ok, your goal is still to get good grades so that when you do discover your desired profession or grad school, you will have no trouble getting in. Your second job, is to be banging as many hot chicks as you can while you're in college, generally just enjoying life. Some things you mentioned can only be accomplished if you leave college, other things, only if you are from a well to do family with the resources to spare. Take one thing at a time my man...
