Receiving Pm's about sources.

What are your thoughts on reciving PM's about sources?

I seem to be getting more and more of these just recently, for instance i had one yesterday that said 'have you used *******.com or can you recomend someone else, PM back or here is my direct email blah blah '

now it wasnt even someone i knew or even familiar with the username, so did not reply.

I just wondered what the general consensus is regarding this issue.

I'm sure most of us have some horror story of getting screwed. Hell, I had to ask a friend on here for help on a specific item just yesterday. It made me feel very uncomfortable and I greatly appreciate his help. My 2 biggest issues are that 1) I'm not taking a chance losing my source because of someone else and 2) the guys who come on here and start begging for hookups like it's the only reason they signed up. I feel bad for ya....just not bad enough to fuk up a good thing for me!

I had the same PM, no other info or small talk. Ignore them or tell them to befriend the big guy at the gym and eventually ask them!

i agree. Some sources want to stay low key also.
One source i use has as his signature in his email " that if you pass my name or email off to anyone without consent first you will be blacklisted permanently"

Happens a lot lately. I just tell them I can't help. I don't feel sorry for them. It's part of the process. No one held my hand. I had to research and find credible sources. If they are serious and dedicated, put the time in like everyone else.

I tell em the truth...I have had three sources EVER. 1 was an internet source that is well known to screw ppl, 1 was a punk ass kid that got me for $900 and my current UGL source. If I lost that it would be back to the drawing board and I would be scewed!

Not being in a metro area finding a souce is next to impossible. Like I said, I sympathise but not enough to risk my source!

Lunk I can't make the link between revealing my UGL to a stranger on email, and the lab being shut down. if its the Feds it going to have to be one hell of an operation including Interpol to shut down lab.

I get asked for source checks frequently, and occasionally for a source. It doesn't bother me. When i respond that im unable to help with a source, they're always polite.

But i agree with Gixx. From now on i'll point them in the direction of a Staff member for source checks.

I've been PMed asking for a source half a dozen times. If they're new I ignore it however if they've been around for awhile I ask them their situation and direct them to a reputable source review website for them to assess which source they should buy from. Didn't know it was against the rules.

You can't see a potential problem? I share my UGL source with some bone head that get's popped then he in turn get's my source popped, then I ma out a source. Seems simple enough! Keep in mind I am talking UGL in the U.S. This could be a small as someones garage or kithchen lab.

Hell the guy asking you for yur UGL could be LE or Fed. It is a public site after all! Not to mention, mu source has never said "hey please give my name out to any Joe Blow on the internet" therefore it's not my place to share that info with anyone!

We are not a source board and giving out sources via pm can look bad, the source could turn bad then that member tell staff he was given the source from a member here and that could end looking like your involved in some kind if scam....

Don't give out sources. Direct them to staff otherwise it could look like your sourcing which is against the rules.

I used to get a ton of these even though my profile says I do not provide sources, I assume because I hand out a lot of lab advice. If its someone I know well from the board and they want verification of a source they provide thats one thing.

Someone who just PM's saying do you know of any sources is an instant red flag for me.

Someone trying to get me to contact them by email, I would have to assume is law enforcement or someone selling themselves and I would not even reply to.
