KS Chiefs LB Jovan Belcher
Reports are that he shot and killed his girlfriend this morning, then drove to Arrowhead Stadium, where he shot and killed himself in front of his coaches. I hate to hear this, obviously, as he was a great young player and was a staple on my fantsy team. I just wonder how long it will take for the media to spin this into something it is not, steriods ? Man this seems like such a waste of 2 lives and great talent.

First I've heard of it. I need to research this one....If it's true this will be the end to one of the most disappointing seasons the Chiefs have ever had... Really sad for players and fans alike...

Yep true and sad. Just goes to show us all that no one knows what another person is thinking or going through in their life...

It's sad that he couldn't just kill himself and leave it at that. It never makes sense to me why these people always have to take other people with them. Very sad story.

It really does suck. He had so much freaking talent it was scary. And him killing his GF, then going and offing himself in front of his coaches.........just blows me away. No doubt there was some mental issues there, but I sure hope the cause isnt spinned into oblivion by the press.

A 3 year old daughter I believe. I just don't get why he drove all the way to Arrowhead and committed suicide in front of the chiefs head coaches. Maybe he wanted them to feel some sort of twisted responsibility for his death. We will never know. Granted we all have low times in our lives but to have fame and fortune and everything good it brings only to go out like this makes no sense and never will. Stories like this suck! Our Chiefs are going on and playing tomorrow. I'm kind of surprised but the show must go on even for the losing team.
