Stop Smoking Aids.
Has anyone ever used the patches? Experiences? Sides?
I quit smoking about 2 months ago, stopped cold turkey with no issues after smoking 20-30 per week since about 6th January this year.
Went out last weekend for a birthday party. Bummed a few smokes, bought a deck and smoked the whole lot that night.. since then, intense cravings, just bought these patches, attached to RH Rib cage approx 30 minutes ago.
So far, minor dizziness, awareness of heart beat, tiny bursts of acute pains, elbows, wrists..
Sound normal?

What dosage are your patches. 20-30 smokes a week is not very much.

Nicoderm makes a 7mg patch. I'd also suggest the gum. It seems you only need a little bump to help quit and the side effects tell me your actually pulling a buzz off the patches.

Test your will power. This is what I did to stop vile habit...
Get a sealed pack of cigarettes and tape a 30 day calendar on it. Carry it around and everyday you don't open it, mark off a day. You'll be proud once you check off 3 days. After that you're on a roll.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

I'm trying to kick alcohol and its taking serious will power. Like cigarettes they are everywhere. I was downtown and the menu is filled with images of beers at the restaurant I was at. In the case of beer it manifests itself in me drinking 4 full glasses of unsweet tea or diet coke in less than 20 minutes or as fast as the waitress fills them. One thing that works for me is out of sight out of mind. I try to think of something else and distract myself and the feeling passes.

The gum tastes like hooker, The patch made me super vagal (blood pressure kept bottoming out), and people have killed themselves because of Zyban and Champix. I found the only thing that worked was cold turkey. It took 3 years of trying cold turkey, and I mean really trying hard, quit from a couple of days to a month or two. I'm now in my fifth year since my last cigarette. I found NO alcohol was the final step. One cold, delicious stout with dinner and I'd have the nic-fit of a life time!

I was thinking the same thing. I guess everyone is different. Dip was the hardest thing I erver gave up. 17 years and I quit prob 100 times then I finally just decided to be finished. Still have cravings and been over a year. What ever you do OP dont EVER try any hard drugs. Good luck.
