Food poisoning
I think that is what I had yesterday, I ate a dessert out of an MRE I have and started feeling kind of sick, then I had a meatball sub from subway and long story short at around 10 last night after not having eaten for the rest of that day I threw it all up.
Felt a lot better after that but I still felt like crap overall until about now. Did I have food poisoning or what? Never had it before which is why i'm asking.

It would not surprise me that it was the subway, believe it or not before i opened up this thread, i had a friend not to long ago got food poisoning from the tuna in his sub, and i wondered when i opened here made me think of him and thought i wonder if it was subway LOL. Anyway he claims he can never eat tuna again cause it has turned him off that badly.
Subway reputation isnt looking to good lately.

And to boz, I'll never go again. Its so much cheaper to make my own sandwiches at home anyways. I don't really even like sandwiches.

Tuna salad is notorious for causing food poisening since the mayo sits out!
I agree with Gixx. I've had food poisening once and you will know it!

One of the worse things is frosting. It goes bad quickly when left out and causes a lot of people to get sick.
Ive had food poisoning a few times. No fun for sure.

Food poisoning is almost instant. Typically if you don't get sick within 15 to 20 minutes or so it's probably not food poisoning.

Totally wrong. Food borne illnesses can have a gestation period up to two weeks. If you get sick that quick you usually can smell or taste that it f*cked up. Most people blame it on restraunts but in actuality its most likely something they did at home a couple days before.

Yes have had food poisoning before from cole slaw. Ever since, I hold the cole slaw up to my nose to smell. I also gauge how cold it is and what establishment i'm getting it at. For a long time didn't eat them.
I don't know what the textbook definition of food poisoning is but this is how I define it:
Some foods are bad to the point that if you eat them, your body will NOT digest them. To pick an example you eat the meatball sub and 30 minutes later you feel very sick. You also consume some cookies and chips and other foods. You decide to wait for the feeling to "pass". Twelve hours later at 3 am you get out of bed and throw up. All of the food you ate has digested, except for the meatballs which mysteriously were able to sit in your stomach for 12 hours without digesting. Have had this happen probably 3 times in my life.

Food poisoning is caused by ingesting a large load of toxins produced by bacteria (usually staph or strep). It will come on within several hours of eating, as vomiting is your body's attempt at ridding itself of the toxins produced by the bacteria.

Food poisoning is classically caused by one of several bacteria and generally result from improper storage, improper handling, or contamination of food
Onset is often within 3 to 8 hours of eating the offending agent and symptoms generally last 8 to 24 hrs and usually resolves on its own. Hospitalization is only considered for the very young or elderly and generally to prevent dehydration and aspiration. Symptoms largely consist of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. Fever is not common but can be present. Onset is often abrupt and resolution is rapid as well.
Hope you feel better.
