supplements for joints with some science behind them
I been trying to find some decent joint supplements and every time i do research looking for some scientific study behind them they always seen to say they aren't effective. I been reading through dozens of these blind studies and it doesn't look good. What do you guys take for joint relief/pain/protection?
Realist: A person who sees things as they truly are. A practical person. The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; The realist adjusts the sails. — William Arthur Ward

I take fish oil and krill oil. One time I asked a competitive bodybuilder what he takes. He said "yeah I take that shit too its called eating fish every day".
The other ones I see recommended over and over are MSM Glucosamine Chondroitin, L-Lysine, Cyssus Quandrangularus (sp?), Folic Acid, Omega 3 sources as mentioned.
I used to (ego?) lift and made a lot of gains that way with a lifting buddy. So I would go in and lift and ok I can do 15 at this weight then 10 at this weight finally Id say lets see what I can only do 4 reps of. I got much stronger this way but found joint problems popping up. Now I will pyramid up on a lot of sets and if I want to go heavy like that I make sure I am throughly warmed up. Also, if an exercise causes what I call a "tweak" a bad pain, I switch from that exercise. So for example a friend had a bad pain off straight bar curls. He stopped doing them a couple months and came back to doing them and it had gone away.
