Text Messages
Is there a way to see if someone has been reading my text messages? I have a basic cell phone from MetroPCS.
Thanks!!

Don`t think so unless you install some special software on it.

I should clarify people reading my text messages that don't have access to my phone.

I do have a password set up for my voicemail, but I don't think people can connect to text messages via that. I am not familiar with other phone providers, but is it possible to go to the company's web site log into your account and read text messages from there?
Thanks!!

Ive never heard of anything like that. I thought you could request phone records if your name is on the account---it only shows when you texted, not the actual message. These days there are some crazy apps and ways people can get to stuff. Whats on these text's bro?

no, they can not. unless physical access to your phone, or have requested access from your cell provider but I doubt they would do that to regular civilians.
or set up txt forwarding software of some type

I write notes to myself and save them to my drafts section on my phone. Seems like they've been read.

What makes you think they have been read?

Not regular texts, no. However you can if you are talking to someone through WhatsApp, if that helps.
Taking her time getting back to you?

So, from your technical knowledge you are not aware of the ability to view them?

Unless you are a PoI, it is pointless (time consuming) and waste of resources to get to read your text messages. User's data usage details can be accessed from all telecom companies (date sent, received, and numbers). Aside from this, there's not much anyone with limited resources can access on your phone or account for that matter.

A guy I know was lured into a gunfight viatext message. He ended up shooting and killing the man who lured him out there. So now he is using the record of text messages which was court ordered to help fight the case.
So the answer to your question is yes, absolutely.
There are programs that can take your texts and bounce them to another device for monitoring but this is both illegal without court order and difficult to install without someone with some serious tact...

The advances in software/hardware engineering have made modern day cell phones human bugs for lack of better description. There's no need to have an app bug installed in order to snoop on a user's cell phone/data use, which includes phone coversations, text messages, pictures, emails, etc.
But again, must be someone exceptional considered a person of high level interest for an entity to monitor the end user to this length, without consent and knowledge.
For everyday folks, there are other alternatives (time consuming bugs), like for example, corporate provided cell phones with snoop/bug software or tech installed already, Blackberry's are an example of this. Or, when a significant other suspect their better half is deviating from the relationship and interests are involved, third tier snoop solutions exist.
