    Just bought my first jeep

As the title says, I just bought my first jeep. It's a 95 Wrangler that the girl and I will basically use just for off-roading and some hunting later on down the road.

It still has stock tires and I'm looking into adding a small lift and getting some larger tires on it.

Any other jeep owners on here?Click image for larger version.

Yeah, I wasn't really looking for one... or a new vehicle at all for that matter but I ran across this one on craigslist for an excellent price and I just couldn't turn it down. Right in time for the 115 degree summer!

I'm planning on selling my honda and using the cash from that to beast mode this out. I work from home so the only places I typically drive to are the gym and the store.

    Such a great Jeep.

True story, took a 98 Wrangler off road against an 05 range rover worth all the bells and whistles. Rover never stood a chance. Both vehicles were stock.

What do you do? Own your own business from home?

Yes it is. I couldn't imagine driving into an office anymore. I used to have to drive 2 hours a day total to get to work. It's nice getting up, grabbing some coffee and going down the hallway to my office.

I work in the staffing industry as a recruiter. It's cake and since my company has little overhead since we all work remotely, the commissions are really good.

Yea- I like it. Only concern is the air suspension long term. I wonder how its gonna hold up or if at 50K miles I'll have to spend $5K to fix it, lol

You probably will, not gonna lie. Nature of the beast. When my dad was selling cars he simply wouldn't buy cars with air suspension. Like the Audi allroad. Its a costly timebomb waiting to go off lol

I am in sales too. I field calls all day, play video games and hang out with my dog.

Sometimes I do get restless. Like I need to do something or go some where.

I'd prefer a hardtop just because of winter use here in the midwest. Either way they look like fun to use and drive with over 2 feet of snow here in the KC area one would come in quite handy right about now. Mostly 4 wheelers are ruling the roads as cars and other two wheelers are stuck all over the place in ditches along sides of the highway and sliding off the off ramps.

Yeah, I get restless but I'm always ready to get out of the house so it makes it easy to get up and go to the gym when I'm done with work.

Yeah, I'm from the texas panhandle and they got about 19 inches of snow. I wish I had this back there to mess around with. I need to get some bigger tires on it soon and then I'll be set.

Yeah, it was definitely well kept. The last smog test it had was back on 2006 and it had 98k miles. As of today, it has 99.5k. The original owner had it sitting in storage since 2006. Then the guy I bought it from only had it for a month but he had to sell it to get something to haul his 18 ft boat. I'm a noob with the jeep thing but I planning on becoming a lot more knowledgable as far as mechanics are concerned and being able to work on it when shit gets messed up.

    What year is your jeep?

If I was to go with a 4 inch lift, would I have to have more parts changed/added such as driveshaft and sye? Would flat fenders be required for clearance for 33s?

Driveshaft and sye would be advised with a 4inch lift for any decent amount of offroading, NO you dont need flat fenders to clear 33s but they look cool and then you might fit 35s I've owned a few jeeps over the years, right now I've been toying with this beat up 89, it's about to get longer, taller and uglier......then I'm gonna go beat it like a rented mule! IMO it's way more fun to build a tough jeep thats a little beat up then you aren't afraid to go have some fun......speaking of fun.... Easter Jeep safari is coming up fast, get that thing done and get to MOAB, one time and you'll be addicted!!
