Rage!
I'm so fvcking pissed right now!.........FVCK!
So I live in an apartment above a bakery........I know....fvcking awesome right? fresh donuts and bread any morning I choose.......Until about 15 mins ago.....I just got done talking to my landlord and I guess he decided to sell the place and the family thats buying it wants to move in.......WELL FVCK ME!
He told me he legally has to give me 30 days notice, but the family wants me out by the 8th of next month if possible....ARE YOU FVCKING KIDDING ME?!?!? Its already March 27th! WTF? And then his balls got even bigger when he said that they would like to see the apt and if its ok if he brings them through tonight.....SERIOUSLY! RAGE!!! FVCK! I'm thinking about shaving my balls and putting a pile of my pubes on the bathroom vanity as a "welcome to the neighborhood and fvck you" type of thing.
He also told me that the family has 3 kids, 2 of which are younger so if I'm not out by the 8th, that they have to find somewhere till my 30 days is up, most likely a motel..Talk about a fvcking guilt trip...FML.
Rage vent over....I guess...............................FVCK

You have no requirement to let them in unless your contract says so, in most cases an advance notice of X amount of time needs to be given.
As for the sale goes...put ypurself in the landlords place trying to seel the property and likely making some money...

30 days!!?? Thats all they have to give you, legally?? Wow, 60 days here, minimum.
And guess what? And if you lived here and didn't feel like leaving, nobody can force you out until summer! Thats right, June 21st!
Man, youre gonna need 30 days just to find a place and move your stuff. Don't be in any panic to leave by the 8th..as if!?? What a joke..

Yep, 30 days.....and even then, I have no idea what the hell I'm gonna do....I live in a small town and not many places around here...and even fewer that are close to my price range.....I dont even know what to do with myself right now... I'm so pissed.... I dont even want to leave my apt right now because I dont think I would be able to control myself in public..

What state do you live in? I find that very hard to believe - not suggesting youre lying, but just hard to accept. Do you not have a Landlord and Tenant Act there?

neg. a cash deal to vacate early. if they want you out before the 30 days which they do, work out a deal.
use the cash for your new down payment.

30 days notice and i would use all of it fvck them they knew there was a renter what would they expect are u sure your landlord is not trying to pull a fast one on u sounds a little odd to me he would be dealing with u and giving u notice to move if hes not the owner of the building anymore why would he be telling u u have to move and not the new owners ??? very odd it may even be longer then 30 days depending on local laws do u have a lease? what dose your lease say and whoever buys the property they bye law would then have to honor said lease and another odd thing is if the building was up for sale it did have for-sale signs outside these people didn't do a walk through before they purchased it or anyone for that matter to see the property i think hes just trying to get u out

Not a bad idea, gonna give that some thought
Since I have been living in the building less than a year, They are only required to give 30 day notice, 60 days is minimum after 1 year of residing in the apt.
I have already spoke with city hall about the matter and they have verified that this deal is legit...Technically, my landlord is still the owner until the deal is finalized and the paperwork is filed.......They have done a walk threw of the bakery, but not my apt....they are stopping by tonight to check the place out (I'm thinking about leaving for this part since I'm far from calm at the moment).....The weird thing is, a couple weeks a go I noticed some unfamiliar boot prints in the snow on my back deck....they didnt go to the door, but to my bedroom window.....I had the blinds closed but still... They were there and it freaked me out a little....That makes a little more sense now.....
Like I said, my landlord was aware of all this like 2 weeks ago and never told me.....*cough* douchebag..
i already have a few hangin up around the apt and I'll be damned if I'm gonna take them down....all I know is they better cover there kids eyes because I have tittys all over the place and they aint going ANYWHERE!

I have already spoke with city hall about the matter and they have verified that this deal is legit...they shouldn't really know to much because if it didn't go through the other party may not even be able to get a mortgage Technically, my landlord is still the owner until the deal is finalized and the paperwork is filed.......most of the time an old land lord will leave the tenant be and let new owner deal with them They have done a walk threw of the bakery, but not my apt....they are stopping by tonight to check the place out (I'm thinking about leaving for this part since I'm far from calm at the moment).....The weird thing is, a couple weeks a go I noticed some unfamiliar boot prints in the snow on my back deck....they didnt go to the door, but to my bedroom window.....I had the blinds closed but still... They were there and it freaked me out a little....That makes a little more sense now..... they may not even want the place they didn't even do a walk threw seem a bit premature

i would stay as long as possible if they back out and your still around he may want or even need u to stay

You sound like a push over. I say that because your letting them see your apt. I'd tell that guy to go f*** himself and say your not leaving until served official eviction papers.

Yes, and since the apt is int he same condition, if not a little better than when i moved in, I will be requesting it back....

Heres the deal, the current owner was buying the property from the city....so since he does NOT own the property 100% free and clear, this transaction is going through the city...The city is actually the "entity" that found the new buyer in the first place because the current owner could not continue to run the business......working 90hrs a week and a newborn was causing issues....But because I live in a small town of about 1500 people and the city was desperate to keep the bakery going since it has been up and running for 40+ years...what the potential new owners know of the apt is word of mouth....basically what the city clerk told them about the apt....
Either way, this a giant cluster fvck...The new owners or "potential owners" should be here in about 15 mins, I will update after.

I feel for you, this is bs.
I personally would ask the new tenants how they possibly expect you to move in 10 days. Its obsurd....

Pfft. I wouldn't let them in, I wouldn't leave in 10 day, I wouldn't leave in 30 days and I wouldnt leave the place in respectable shape either. What a raw deal and a bold move by the landlord. Heck, I wouldnt pay a dime till I was evicted either. What a douche and a weasel

That is sounding like a good idea at the moment....It has been alot to digest for one day....I feel drained....
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE.....They sent there kids out to sit in the car about 30 seconds after walking in the back door......I think it had something to do with the tittys on the hall walls and the shirt I was wearing......see pic, lol.

I dont blame you, I'd rub poop on the walls and hide a dead animal in the attic if there is one. I'd rub fish inside the heat vents or radiator. Some cement powder in the drains and DEFINITELY drop an upper-decker in the toilet tank.
Nice shirt btw

If they want you out early then its simple economics. $$$$

I did give it some good thought and I would be willing to vacate the premises and in a peaceful manner for worthwhile compensation
Although the dad/husband is not fond of me at this point....But I think I can make this a really bad situation for him and create some really bad publicity that could go away for a nominal fee....I believe I have some good leverage at this point.
