Haz, labor boards are notorious for not knowing shite about the law. I'm telling you, it's worth at least meeting with a lawyer about, ESPECIALLY if you're an exempt employee; they can't just do this.
Trust me, I know. And I won my case, here in Texas. If you can get a win here dude, you can get one anywhere. And we're non union.
* after second look, they might, if they did it for exactly one week. Not sure how a dead hawk violates company policy though; you might want some clarification on that one.
I'd be fighting like a mofo, if for no other reason than to get fired and sue.Last edited by LGM; 04-22-2013 at 11:10 AM.

Damn dude... that's sick - and scary. I've seen a few terminations go 'not so smoothly', but nothing to the extent of jaws getting shattered... what a fcking scum bag. I don't care what's going on in his life - those 2 managers were just doing their jobs and didn't deserve to be touched. I hope the prick get's what he has coming to him... then we'll see how bad life really can get.

There is something called an "At Will" state. Pa is one. it means you can be fired, at will, without cause or explanation, at any time.

That is right Jimmy, but there are different rules for exempt employees being sent home without pay. But if this company sounds as sleezy as Haz says they are, I'm sure they'll cover their bases here with him.
Sucks for Haz.
