I usually get 6-8 hours. Lately, I've been having quite a few sleepless nights where nothing I take can get me to sleep.

Yeah, when I sleep I usually always wake up at least once to take a piss and get a glass of water. I always sleep with the TV on playing something really boring to give me some noise.

I know that sleep is important for building muscle. I have never really slept very well. Thanks to my ADHD my brain doesn’t turn off at night and its hard falling asleep. The sleeping meds that I have tried don’t work because of my ADHD. Doctor gave me Ativan and Trazadone because they are supposed to “help you sleep”. Meds didn’t help in slightest. Also I have awesome vivid nightmares that cause me to wake up throughout night. Plus I am constantly waking up to check on my son. I probably get 4-6 hrs. of sleep a night. Doctor says it’s nothing to worry about as long as I don’t start showing S&S of sleep deprivation. He said not to worry because I’m always full of excess energy.

It is hard for me to make a judgment call on that. My story is much different then you younger guys. I never needed much sleep even in my thirties. I'm run a high rate of speed. I think that effects what I need. But so back in my day it didn't hurt at all. I was young. I'm not as strong now. I couldn't go all night (party so to speak) and get up early. I recover great from my workouts so it doesn't bother me. When I hit the gym I'm running fast, have to tell myself to slow it down. Since I took 25 yrs off and only been back for 6-7 months I have no way to judge and how do I plug in age factor. Remember (they say ) older people need more sleep. Ha, fvckem I don't think so. I will tell you that steroids DO NOT effect me as strong as when I was young. Not close. So the definitive answer is I don't think so due to the fact I am coming back strong, stronger then most would think

Never tried steriods so I wouldnt know how they feel yet :/
But as you get older you start to slow down on test so thats why its better to take them as you get older?

I should start setting the timer. I've been lately waking up to these dreams that have the same topics as whatever is on the TV.

I suffer from sleep apnea, so out of 7 hrs, I wake up about 10x and actually get up and go outside about 5-6x. Truth is I really don't know......I just know it's not enough, sometimes it feels like I have been up for weeks, I have to try and nap all weekend just to catch up....sux
