?? Usps ???
Okay here's my dilemma. I travel constantly for work. Staying on the road for months at a time and usually only coming home for a week then I'm back at it. The USPS will RTS my packages after three missed attempts.
My source Requires a Signature on Delivery and won't budge on that policy. Has anyone jumped this hurtle yet? If I get a P.O. Box will the post office hold my mail until I'm able to sign for it. Or should I just put all my mail on hold? I know you'll probably say I should just get a better source but a good source is hard to find!
I'm going to ask the post office my options on Monday I am just trying to see what all the options are.
P.S. No I'm not going to get Married just so someone can sign for my package!Last edited by Vagabond101; 04-28-2013 at 04:19 AM.

Have someone else authorized to sign for your parcels, or have them dropped at another address. You can also put all mail on hold while you travel, and they will hold all parcels and nail till you get back. You can do this online on their website.
I suggest having your mail held; it's very common and easy to do.

Just sign the pink slip. Check off leave it at USPS and go pick it up

If it comes USPS registered or signature required, they leave the slip at the door. If he's gone, after three attempts they rts. He can't sign ahead of time legally, and a carrier can lose their job for any alteration of that process. Accountable mail is a HUGE deal at the USPS.

If it comes while he's gone, how does he check the box?

Yea, it complicates matters if you're gone for months at a time. Having it shipped to a trusted neighbor/relative may work. Or, place orders at a time when you'll be in town and not on the road.

Have it shipped to a friend. That's really the only solution I can see here.

Exactly ^ have it held. Registered mail is a big deal to the post office, bit they're also a bunch of rtards working there... I can only say that because I work for them lol.

I worked in a small town, and you wouldn't believe the shipments we got from India and other "drug companies". I mean, I could shake them and hear the pills rattle, fluid slosh, the size of the bottles...
I'd yell out to the postmaster that I had another steroid shipment, and he'd laugh. I told him we should open it (because we can if we have cause), and he'd just roll his eyes and tell me to deliver it.

Place the order with a source that can get it to you in 3, not more then 4 days. That's what I do. Pay today receive in 3-4 days, or like suggested. Have a PO box and have it held. .....crazy mike

They try to bait you at your plant? Leave a dollar bill on the floor, or a gold earring? I found a bill once when I worked processing in one of the racks, and turned it in. Supervisor told me it's great that I turned it in, but next time touch nothing. lol
They've got cameras and security all over the plant I worked in.

Ya they have the one way mirrors in catwalks spanning the entirety of the building. They're usually empty but around Xmas time postal inspectors walk them and they bait like crazy. But our plant is usually just drunk as a whole, supervisors and all so nobody really cares lol
And I know everything that goes in in my area. My dad is the major metro DM so he runs all of Illinois and a good chunk of the surrounding areas

How funny. My dad is an ET at our plant; that's how I got into the processing side, then transferred to the delivery side. Much less work. You push bins, or drive one of them cart thingies?

I was a pusher. But lately I've been doing all the NDC breakup. I hand sort every piece of parcel post and send it out to either the Chicago, Pittsburgh, or Des Moines NDC
