Losing reps as I lean out more on certain muscle groups
Figured I would get more answers here
I havent gone down in weight but on my max lifts I am struggling to hit my normal reps. For example on Military Dumbbell presses I would finish off last set with 90's for 6 and now I am at 3. This has been on going for a couple of weeks. Back, legs, arms all the same. Just shoulders and chest effected.
I have been doing morning cardio and now switched it to a 1 hour boxing class in the am also. I was going to try and do fasted but I think the boxing class may be too much fasted.
Is this common to lose some strength when you go down in weight. Same diet same trt dose just getting thinner.....

Is your cardio being done on empty stomach? Also do you transition from your cardio right to your w/o.
When leaning miltary press with DB's is one of the more harder ones to keep strength. Are you cycling?

It was being done on empty.
i did my first class boxing class around 9 am but it was after breakfast. I am shot right now. I probably wont even be able to get 225 up when I go back to lift later on.
NO cycling yet. Just my trt dose. I might bump up to 500mgs for a couple of months but I am not sure yet. I have 12 Mast on the way for 800mg a week for 12 weeks

Having spent years boxing, I can tell you it definitely wore out your delts, no way you will be able to lift like usual.
If you are dropping weight/leaning out, it probably has to do with lowering your caloric intake so you naturally dont have the extra energy to lift

I got through chest today. I usually finish dumbells 105 incline 110 flat and I was stuck on 75's
I am at 2500 calories now with the boxing assuming that I am burning 800 in there for an hour on top of the gym maybe I need to up cals. This probably is something I should take to nutrition

Not that this helps, but Im currently @ 2100 cals, the weight is coming off quick but Im not that weak.
The boxing really is a different game all together. Your muscle will start changing its composition the more of it you do. You will start to break down the more mass muscle and really tighten it up. When I was fighting, I couldn't get any heavier than 180lbs no matter how much I ate or trained heavy

No problem... wish I could combine the two and develop my body exactly as I want it to look but I lose the muscle I want to keep whenever I go back to MMA style training.
