My opinion is that the learning process improves if you become proactive with that process.
True, you can learn a great deal by simply reading, but interacting on the board and asking intelligent questions is another dimension of learning not attainable by being passive and reading only.

I can see why now we ask for stats as answers can then be tailored for every individual

Hello Guests get joining and have some fun with us all, would be nice to hear all your questions......

A lot can be found just by reading...... My guess is most people sit back quietly and read because there's such a plethora of information that they can find the answer and not hafta risk being attacked by a member that has a chip on their shoulder.
I agree with TR also..... Once you do sign up and start interacting..... You get more involved and IMO what you learn is retained easier. You also are able to "give back" to the community by getting more involved with the board.

I lurked for a while but then just joined, first I wanted to see if I thought it was a legit place, with decent people and good knowledge. There are 100's of sights out there but I DONT HAVE TIME OR PATIENCE FOR SHITHEADS OR SHIT SITES. There seems to be a certain amount of openness that is refreshing, "my d*ck doesnt work!" so? lets see what we can do to help you! "Im fat!" so? lets see what we can do to help you "after/during my cycle I got tits or I feel like a chick cause my sensitivety went up" so? lets see what we can do to help you. I think you see the re-occurring theme here.

I imagine a lot of the lurkers are actually members who have just not signed in yet because they dont have anything to say.

It's just like lifting. You can only learn so much by standing on the sides. At some point you have to immerse yourself or you'll get stuck on the outside

I think some of the guests are users that are not log in...I often read thread when I'm not log in and if I see that I want to add something or ask a question I log in.

I lurked for months prior to Joining, and even since joining I mostly read and lurk. Primarily due to 95% of questions asked get met with "theres a million threads on this topic read and educate prior to asking redundant questions"..........
