How often are you 100% in the zone?

What is in the zone? A couple examples....

In the zone is eating when you arent hungry and every meal is a means to an end.
In the zone is getting up and going to the gym when every fiber in your body says "you can skip today"
In the zone is leaving it ALL at the gym...not time, not quantity, sheer intensity.

Feel free to add to the list but how often do you consider yourself "In the Zone" ?

I always ask myself: "What is this meal going to do for me"

I worked many years of shift work (7 on, 2 off) which sucked but you power through it. I couldn't skip as I always felt to guilty

There's no other way to train. If you can do that, stay home and rest and eat. Nothing, absolutely nothing is worse than getting done a set and immediately knowing that you had more reps in you. I can't live with that. Can't stand it

Pretty much most of my adult life. Assuming I qualify as an adult.

    Great topic.

I like to think I'm in the zone regularly. I do however experience some level of depression once in awhile. I still make it to the gym but I know my workouts are certainly less intense. Food has never been an issue for me. I can eat anytime, anywhere.

So if I look at diet and training as the factors, I'd give myself an 8 out of 10 for diet (- 2 points for not counting macros, but still maintaining good shape). And on the gym topic, I'd give myself a 5 for getting up and going, and -5 for lack of intensity. So that gives me a score of 6.5/10 for those 2 "zones".

Wow, kind of an eye opener. If my ratings are close to accurate, I'm losing 35% progress during depression. which really isn't that often. I'm probably an 8/10 otherwise.

Hey kel, this topic was intended for humans. Not superhumans.

In the zone means to me - training to my absolute maximum, going to war with my body and breaking every muscle fibre down with so much intensity and weight that it as no alternative but to grow. I put myself in this zone by thinking of stuff in my past what upsets me and the adrenalin starts flowing, this is easy for me and when I am in this zone I can put my body through sheer hell and so much pain nothing can stop me.

I create immense over load on my body and train with such intensity my body as no alternative but to compensate and grow bigger, otherwise I will kill myself, simple as that.....I can eat 24/7 done it many times and if I was size I would do it again, food is an essential part of what I do, I don't eat for taste I eat to feed the growth. If you want to turn heads when you walk down the road you got to do something different than the rest of the gym bummers playing around, go to war with your body, train it to an inch of its life and force growth to happen and then feed it don't restrict calories.

One last thing - being consistent for years will produce remarkable gains, learn how to train your body to true failure and beyond and watch the magic appear.

Depends on if I have a goal I'm working towards such as a photoshoot or acting gig. Then I'm in the zone 99.9% of the time. There are days usually about 21 days or so of straight training that my body just doesn't have the energy to give it my best but I still leave it all in the gym. I guess there was just a little less to leave. lol

When I'm maintaining that percentage drops to 75-80% I still go hard in the gym and leave it all there but I don't watch the diet as much.

The gym for me is a place I go to get my head straight and remove excess energy so I can sleep at night. That's why I "try" to give it my all every time I'm in there.

Only during sex...Seriously though those who are in the zone more times than not are the ones who have made it to where they want to be. I look at that kid Jeff Seid for example. Definitely in his zone more times than not. Lucky Bastid. I wish I had that much drive towards BB'ing.

Speaking of I need to remind my daughter about getting his picture again. She is worse than me at procrastinating. Sorry.

Don't sweat it Lovbyts as I'm sure the pics won't compare to his new video.. Lovers will love it and well haters will hate it. It borders on porn..
