Breast feeding is natural, of course it is, but breastfeeding at your local mall? Theres several things that bother me, general BFing in a way that shows you're trying to be discreet and not be blatant and conciderate to people around you doesnt bother me. BUT if you're TRYING to be seen and have that "I dont f'n care what you think" attitude, just to prove your point I can do without. The age of the child realllllyyyy bothers me, if you have a little one, of course do what you need, it has no cognative funtion but eat, shit, sleep BUT if it's a year? two? come on, thats PLENTY of time to figure alternatives to whipping it out in public (actually to old to be on the titty period IMO)

I think you should be able to be nude in public. Why are we so uptight about viewing organs of our own species? So go for it.

I have mixed opinions on this.
first it really should not be a big deal I mean its a breast come on people. but on the other hand what the hell is so hard about just going around the corner and doing it private? yeah you're a breastfeeding mommy big woopty Doo. I can't stand these new mothers that are so crazy .. oh I'm pregnant now everything should be different for me and my oh so precious baby.I'm breastfeeding and everybody has to be okay with it because it's what I want to do for my oh so precious little God child and it's natural so accept it. get over it ! You're a female feeding your you're freaking just like every other freaking female on this whole planet and all the other species- there is absolutely nothing special about your ass or your ugly ass baby.yeah you're right you should be able to feed your child whenever you want to but how hard is it to just have common courtesy for all the other women and fellas and toddlers and teenagers running around to just cover yourself up and do it discretely? seriously what's the problem? your tits not made out of gold you're not pumping out into cancer cures just go in the bathroom or go sit in your car or go sit in the lounge Drape something over your chest and do it discretely. until the female breast is all the sudden me no longer seen as a sexual part of the female body and where like to walk around topless like all the guys do then no people are not going to accept thing a breast in public just because a kid is latched onto it. it still seen as a sexual part of a woman's body and still going to be seen as unacceptable

Seeing this thread made me laugh, but honestly it is a fair question. I think it is one of those sociological norms that some people just don't care about
Seems strange to me when someone is doing it in public....but then again I have no problem taking a leak in semi-public areas....

I say no!!
1)I worked as a mechanic at a new car dealership and got called into the owners office one day!! Some lady was breast feeding in the parking lot. She said I walked by her car and was staring at her. I had no clue what they were talking about and almost lost my job. I literally had no idea what they were talking about but they sure made me feel like a dirt bag.
2) I was at gym in seattle and took my kids swimming. A lady in the hot tub with her newborn (already wrong) ripped her tit in the hot tube hot and proceeded to feed her child. It was crowded and definetly not an appropiate place to breast feed. 2 weeks later a sign was at the gym discussing behavior at the gym and a lawsuit was pending regarding harrasment. Nobody did anything wrong and the entire gym was under watch. (This gym also had to have security guards watching the BB court due to gang fights).
3) I was reviewing accounts with a client a new mother, in my office. She just picked up the child ripped out her tit and started to feed. I stopped the meeting called my secretary into my office and took a break. To her it was nothing but I sure as sh*t was done from past expercience.
I think breast feeding is the only way to go if possible for the mother and child, but unfortunaley society is has tanted a good thing (not the first time or last). I think the women that know how to do discretley should continue and will probably not have a problem.
To finish my rant I suppose there should be some rules (not laws) or guidelines I suppose so breast feeding mothers can do what needs to be done. More of Society problem then a breast feeding problem.

I know I'm always looking for a breast to feed on. I don't care if I'm in public or not! Lol
Perfectly normal. I see nothing wrong with it unless the kids like old enough to cook his own food.

Really, what necessitates this to be done in public? No real need IMO. Among the minority here I guess...

I don't have a problem with it. If the baby is hungry then a mother should be able to breast feed her baby. Why should she have to run for cover to make other people comfortable?

It doesnt bother me in any way but if a woman chooses to do it in public then she should not be shocked or angry if someone looks at her breast. I'm not talking about Ogling or staring like a half starved animal at a piece of meat but it's natural to look and see what is going on.
I just think it's stupid when a woman acts like a prude when she sees someone looking. Wear a low cut shirt that shows your cleavage expect people to look at your cleavage. Wear a micro or mini skirt expect people to look at your legs. If you dont like it then dress accordingly.
It's funny, for years it was normal for women to carry a small light baby blanket or knitted shawl to cover the baby and breast. It was nothing that would cause discomfort or make it hot but added a little discretion.Last edited by lovbyts; 07-16-2013 at 11:03 PM.

I don't have a problem with it. BUT if a mother so chooses to do it on the moment in public, then don't have an issue with someone who stares. Too bad.
Like the little girls at the gym with their boobs hanging out. Hey don't get your panties in a wad if I look or even stare. Put your nips back in and were a decent top. ...crazy mike

yay, and if they are concerned with lookers, can always wear a cover or use a blanket etc. Thing is people stare, and stare hard, even if covered, like hoping they get a peak. Even a woman breastfeeding in her car, it's all eyes hoping for something. And I think sometimes people are shocked, but they really need to get over it, they don't realize how hard it is to deal with an infant that naturally screams till it is fed.
