Well, I wanted to update some before and after pictures but for some reason I keep getting an error message that upload of file failed. Tried logging out/in, no change. tried different pictures, no change. I had this issue yesterday also but after logging out and back in it cleared up.

I tried to upload some pics the other day with the same issue, something must be wrong with the site.

I am checking on this...

These are just the before and after, not really any of the inbetween. Huge job and a LOT more than what it shows. Pretty much I gutted everything, all the walls that were not tore out were re mudded and textured, all the carpet tore out and replaced with matching hardwood, 3/4", sanded and refinished. Lenoleum removed and 18" tile put in it's place with heated flooring in the master bath. Master bath was 100% gutted and re plumbed moving the tub to the other side of the room so I could put in the custom glass shower.
Anything I did not do myself I did with help and not I'm not as handy as it seems so it was a lot of work and took a LOT longer than it should have but it was done right.
Matching granite in the kitchen Island, counters and all 3 bathrooms including the tub surround.
The kitchen island I tore out 100% due to black mold, water damage and rebuilt it so it was bigger and had storage.

Shower works great, especially after removing the hot water tank and putting in a full house tankless how water heater so we never run out.
Getting down to the nitty gritty with only a few things left. I just finished putting the molding up around the doors and re finishing the window sills. I still need to do the baseboard trim.

Computer/networking field. I didnt do all but a lot of it myself or with help. I hired help for a few of the big remodel projects like the floors and drywall because I dont have the equipment. All the other stuff I did some with help and a lot without.
I did most of it in 6/months while working full time but had to get it done or at least to a point before moving in. Lots of long days and short nights.

You would not believe all the stuff the previous owners left in the house and I dont mean just trash but actually normal items. Yes it was trashed, messy but it's like they only moved 50% of their stuff out. LOTS of stuff I didnt take pictures of but I should have such as the master bedroom walk in closet was still 1/2 full of clothes and not trash. A lot new, nice womens clothes, some still new with tags, mens suits and even found a few gift cards worth $100, $50 and $25. Jewelry, some costume but some actually worth $100+ a New in the box Kirby vacuum cleaner as well as 100s of attachments (yes a kirby vacuum salesman at some point) and tons of other stuff.
All the pictures below are as it was the day we got the house and like I said, there was a lot more I didnt take pictures of.

The vacuums outside were all junk of course and some left in the garage but the ones you see all organized I cleaned up and either sold or gave alway. I still have 2 of the dysons. lol Also The trailer I took at least 4 full loads to the dump just from stuff inside and I cant even say how many trips to the good will with clothes and other stuff. 16ft enclosed trailer.

Almost forgot the daughters bedroom.
I'm not sure why some of the colors look washed out in some pictures, they are bright pink and purple.
Yes I did the wallpaper backgrounds also as well as re finishing/painting the dressers and had to disassemble the chandelier and rewire it. It was put together backwards, candle sticks/lights pointed down. lol

you would think so right? No, I had been to the house 2x before we bought it and meet the previous owner. It was a short sale because they had not made payments in a little over 1yr but they had PLENTY of time to pack and move, they knew we were buying it well over 30 days in advance.
I know it was just over 1yr of no payments because they also left a bunch of their own tax records and mail from the banks. I also have over 1000 files of past Kirby buyers with copies of drivers license, social security card and bank information. They are lucky it's me who bought the house and not someone who would sell it on the black market. $$$$ I'm just waiting for my bank to have another free shredding day.
Ive also tried to track them down because some things I would think they might want such as wedding pictures, CD with pictures, drivers license, credit cards, baby pictures, birthday, wedding, anniversary cards. I heard they moved out of state but no response to any inquiries. Strange to say the least.
Ha, EVERY neighbor I have meet including just yesterday while outside working on the yard say they same thing, they are happy to meet us and see someone taking care of the house/yard. The previous owners had several other people living there and parties all the time making a lot of noise and a mess outside.Last edited by lovbyts; 04-19-2015 at 05:55 AM.
