Affects your cholesterol,(higher). My t is in the high 500's, natural, and I'm 47. Been smoking for far too long. Probably 31 years. When I do cycle next time, I'd like to quit before hand, hopefully for good.

You shouldn't quit just to do a cycle. Smoking costs a lot of money and is going to kill you. The sooner you quit, the better your health will be. Like when I smoked, I did 2 packs a day at $6 a pack (KOOL Superlongs). That was over 4 grand a year and for what? You don't even get high from it. All it does is gets rid of the cravings for 20 mins.
I quit sometime around april of 2005 and I tell you after the first couple weeks, it wasn't that hard to quit. And I smoked for 12 years.

It's a shame to see people in their last stages of life due to smoking; I often ask them if they regret it, the obvious answer is yes. Unfortunately, you can not undue what you have already done.

I never used nicotine gum before. I used regular $.50 chewing gum at every single convenience store in the world. I still chew it to freshen my breath every now and then. But yeah $.50 for a pack of chewing gum sure beats $10 for a pack of smokes. And on top of it, you wont smell like burning ass and it might help you live a little longer (and better).

Anything in moderation is fine imo, but we all know the dangers of smoking the same way excessive drinking is bad for you.
There is also this myth that smoking calms a persons nerves, which is absolute bullshit. Smoking is a stimulant, if you are feeling anxious, fraught, pissed off, etc....it will only make you worse.
