    Motivation

I need some..... Only gym I have is in my basement now and I'm trying to get motivated. At times it's hard cause the kids come running down and atmosphere is so different compared to a actual gym. Oh well pushing through, cheers

Lol I know what that's like. I used to have a gym in my basement and would try to get in a lifting mind set only to have a little one run down and ask for milk. I joined a local ymca just to get out of the house. If you are stuck there try and plan a time when someone can watch the kids. Otherwise its how bad do you want it. See the goal you set for your self and know no matter what your gonna get there. Try to remember kids are a blessing. Lots of parents out there wishing there kids were home. You CAN do it.

Lock the door from the inside to keep em out then blast some tunes so you can't hear them knocking.

My kids are 10 and 11. We have a no bother me rule when I am out in the garage lifting. I open the garage door about a foot. It's behind me when I lift. When I am done with my set I look behind me to see if their are any little Nikes looking back at me. If there are, I help them.

They are very respectful of this rule and when I am done I do things with them or I will show them what they have questions about. But lifting time is my time.

Depending on age, kids are very respectful if you have a set of rules about things like this. Let them know that you could get hurt if you got distracted in the middle of a lift. (even if you have a cage) You can exaggerate a little if need be.

Or, just say if you can hear the music, I am busy.
