Yep, facebook. A girl I went to middle school with found my brother on facebook and he gave her my email address. I replied and asked her not to give it out to anyone else because if I wanted to keep in contact with my school mates I would of done it on my own. Never heard from her again.
Lesson - You can get in touch with people with facebook or their relatives at least...course, they may not be interested in someone getting in touch with them.

I stay away from Facebook. The last time I signed up on it I ended up with 3 thousand new friends I never knew I had. It was like WTF? Where did these people come from. Course once I sent them my history and sexuality I lost all but 2. So if you get overwhelmed by being friended by several just tell them your gay.

I don't use Facebook because I have no desire to stay in touch with people. I was also a DOG for a long long time lol - I don't need that drama in my life right now.

Leave the ex girlfriend alone.

I used to track people down for a living, but that was a long time ago. there are other resources than just the net.
You can PM me and pick my brain if you like. I'll ask you a variety of questions, guide you through processes, and let you have a stab at it.
to some of the others.
i had a girl contact me on classmates. she was the only girl in my life i almost hit. we were neighbors, and hitting puberty around the same time. we were "experimenting" (nothing too serious) and then later ridiculed me in public.
anyways, she had the gall to reach out to me, AFTER tracking my brother and mother down after twenty some odd years.....
....i just ignored her, but the moral of the story is just because you CAN track someone down, doesn't mean you should track them down.
use the grocery store rule. if you saw them in the check out isle at the grocery store, would you reach out to them?

You can try signing up for beenverified, it does cost, but you can cancel if you want and usually they will give you a trial offer. It is relatively cheap and start digging. Almost no one is invisible today. Linkeden also, with any searches, try using the maiden name. Facebook is the number one form of law enforcement to find people. Google the name and use facebook search. Try the city they lived in when you knew them. Facebook search through google is so effective that even if they used a fictitious name as a user name, there real name if registered that way will show up. Meaning if you search through the maiden name and the same facebook site shows up, it could be them or they are on that persons friend list. Yes i have done PI work in the past. It can take a lot of digging, but usually they are out there. They may even show up on someone elses fb in a photo somewhere with a comment. Good Luck and happy hunting!
