unfortunately no one will sell you life insurance once you are diagnosed.

I think I'd just get it over with. What's the point. If I spend all my money, eat like shit and have a great 60 days... it'll be over and worthless anyway. Not like I'm taking any memories with me.

I'd probably just kill myself. Could be different if II had a family. I don't know.

Spend as much time as possible with my family. I would also do whatever necessary during those 60 days to ensure my families financial wellbeing after I passed. Finally thank God for blessing me with my remaining time with my wife, kids, family & friends.

I wouldn't change anything. I already know I'm not going to live forever. The only limitation in my life re: doing what I want vs what I have to is income so unless I'm also given a ton of money along with my death sentence i'd have to keep working and wouldn't be able to just go do what I want any more than I can do that right now. Wishing is one thing. Reality is another entirely. the daily grind doesn't stop just because we're told we will die much sooner than expected. Nobody expects to.die at a certain time anyways. Accidents and shit beyond our control kills people daily.

This prognosis wouldn't change anything for me. I don't care if I die. Its not like I will be thinking about missing being alive.. I'm dead. I don't exist. I wasn't thinking about what I will do in my life before I was born because I did not exist yet to be able to do so. Death is the same. We exist, then we don't. So what.

Lol. The full 60 days... Who cares! I get the point though. If I was gonna kill myself to spare the suspense I'd make damned sure it was true.

So for those of us who would just get it over with already, what would be your chosen method? Mine would be pills. Just go to sleep and not wake up. No pain, no mess for other people to clean up.

Ps: I would even put some depends on first. I'm that concerned about leaving a mess I don't care about my dead self. I don't want to burden anyone though.

hmmm...like cancer or something? well in that case, one of the points in my life is never to allow myself to get to a state where i am dependent on anyone...like needing someone to change the bed potty because u cant go to the bathroom ... or someone to put diapers on you etc...in that only case I would cut things short...pull the plug earlier... cant rely on anyone to do it for me and I know my family will not have the guts to take the decision....

id do it in a way that wouldnt cause my family to loose on the life insurance tho how I will figure out when i get to that bridge :P

but if i had 60 healthy days to live, id squeeze every last one of them.

You really need to make amends, even if it's their fault. I hated my dad and wouldn't speak for years and then when I did see him, I was an ass to him. He died at 57 and I wish he were still alive so I could have a daddy. Maybe it was meant to be bc I love my boy more then life itself

Serious question. Do you enjoy life now? If you do and you had 2 months left, why not enjoy that time. I honestly feel sad for you after hearing that answer.

Oh othello how stupid of me to not consider the suicide clause. I have children. I'd have to make it look accidental but then again of you've been given 60d to live maybe you just bit it early? There are untraceable drugs that could be used. Even so, I doubt an autopsy would be performed on a terminal patient with such a short term prognosis. I'd still take precautions.

Do people really want to spend eternity smoking pot and singing bible hymns with jesus anyways? Really. Think about the concept. I don't. How boring. Death is our greatest gift. Who the hell wants to live forever? That's a really long time!

Who cares? It's not like you'll be the one cleaning it. I'd use a double barrel shotgun.

tie the triggers together so that when you pull one, the other is pulled as well...fishing line works great...we used that back in the day with the m203 launchers on m16s

but prob is the recoil from the gun might cause you to miss unless you jab it under your chin and grasp the gun with both hands

if you were a member of some of them radical groups, youd have the addition of the virgins waiting for u up (or down) there altho i never understood what a blown up guy would be able to do with all those virgins hehehehe

establishing death as absence of consciousness in your mind doesnt necessarily make it true. what if u are wrong?? i seriously doubt pot smoking with Jesus will be what goes on in heaven. i would speculate it might be something like life here, except spent in the presence of God without all the bad we have here plus an infinite amount more good.. if u think about life after death from the perspective of being where God is, and u assume God made our planet and universe and life as we know it, imagine how much more awesome it could be..
