Just watched my second Disney Movie
First one was Jungle Book from the 60's. Watched that one in 1980. Great movie. Baloo the Bear rocks.
Today I watched Wall-E. Dumb.
I'll review another one in 33 years.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

Classic Disney are the good ones. I had my kid young so I had all the old ones. Cinderella, 101 dalmations, snow white, phantasia, little mermaid, lion king. I had to buy them all to keep her from watching friggin Barney.
Edit: I still have them all on VHS

I never looked into the merits of beta vs vhs in detail and that war raged in the late 70's -.early 80's. I was about ten yo then. Wasn't really that interesting to me then but I have read since that beta was actually superior in many ways.
DVD didn't exist yet when I bought my disney collection. My daughter may be having kids of her own in the next few yrs so maybe I'll convert the tapes haha. My first act as a grandfather. Awwwww.
Now I'd just throw them on a hot swappable solid state hdd. You can get 500gb on a little card a little bigger than a postage stamp. No moving parts. Incredibly fast DTR. Sometimes up to 100 x's faster than a standard 7200 hdd. Got a few in our office last month.Last edited by Java Man; 10-07-2013 at 09:27 PM.

I like some Disney. But what I like even more is sitting with my kids and watching their reaction to it. When my little girl watches Cinderella and sings it with my wife, not much better. Finding Nemo chokes me up sometimes.

HEY!!!! I liked Wall-E It's a take off from Short Circuit, the movie.
Your post reminds me of Crocodile Dundee 1 when he comes from Australia and has only watched TV once before. He turns on the TV and there is a rerun of I love Lucy on. He says, Yup, that's what I saw as if thinking that is the ONLY thing on TV. lol

I knew this was your thread Aust, before opening.
Look at some animated porn instead.

That's how I got one of my girls to start watching porn with me. She was not interested in viewing porn and would get upset if she knew I looked at any so I rented some R movies that had animated porn previews and we lol of course. Then I rented a few animated porn videos that of course had previews to porn videos and after a while she was OK with it.
You got to know how to groom them.

When I was a kid I really liked Flight of The Navigator.
Something Wicked This Way Comes is still a pretty good movie.

Did you know the ships voice was Pee-Wee Herman? Only herd the laugh a couple of times in the movie.
Remake is on it's way.

Has anyone seen the shit that they show kids today?
Remember when kid's shows were fun? Now a days, we give kids this shit to watch. My niece got me to watch this with her once and I ended up telling her if she ever makes me watch this shit again, I'll kill Caillou. I really feel bad for them nowadays. They're not allowed to go play outside and get themselves in trouble. And on top of that, they entertain themselves with shit like this.

My son is obsessed with the Shrek movies. They aren't bad the first few times but once you break into the teens of any of the Disney/Pixar movies they are not so good.
