Ketoconazole as an Option for Treating Hair Loss?
Has anyone had any success using shampoos with this drug in it for treating hair loss?
I've been reading that it is an androgen receptor antagonist and it may block DHT locally in the scalp while not affecting the rest of the body. I've also read that there haven't been too many studies on this.
So what's everybody's experiences with it? And if any of the doctors on here could give me some insight as well that'd be appreciated.

Shave your head bald
That way you can shine it up in the shine-o-ball-o

I've been doing that (minus the shining), that's really just a cop out. Most people who are suffering from thinning/receding hairlines would probably do something like hair transplants, but the cost turns them off to the idea. And monoxidill really is a hassle.
If the shampoo shows promise, I think it'd be worth trying out.

if you go through my old posts from years ago, I spent a lot of time on this. .. in the end I just stuck with Nizoral 2% shampoo. Later about a year ago, i switched to RegenePure.. I started using Minoxidil about a month ago.. but I have not lost any hair in years. But everyones experience is different. Things like TREN are obviously very harsh, and should be limited in weeks used. But test itself has not done any damage for me at least in years. I still got a full head of hair, except some receading upfront when I was 26-28 years old.. has not changed since.

I use both of these and switch every other day. Nizoral 2% shampoo, and The Body Shop Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo with anti hair-loss Piroctone Olamine. I have been thinking about adding Roagain mouse but this has keep my hair in check the last year+.
