New years resolutions
Although it's a few weeks early...I've gotten excited about the idea of setting some strict goals for myself this year. It's very cliche to do, and people shouldn't need new years to roll around for them to improve their life, but I'm going to try and see if I can stick to some stuff for a full year.
For instance....no rec drug use, set a specific quota of the amount of money I would like to save after this year, and maybe some personal goals for the gym. Not sure yet.
Does anyone have some good ideas for themselves or stories of successful new years resolutions they've stuck to in the past? I'd like to hearLast edited by Angel of death; 12-08-2013 at 08:26 PM.

Great goals angel.
Mine will be to continue to educate myself in the subject of fitness and compounds. Otherwise, from a work, family, and training perspective, I'm in a good place.

My NY resolution is the same as my everyday resolution. To be a better person, a better husband and a better father.

Work less, save more, spend more.time in the shop lifting, at the range shooting, and with the wife and the dogs....not necessarily in that order.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

My New Years resolution/Goal is to be moved into our new house before the new years and to at least spend the night there on new years.... It's iffy at this point. Originally I had planned to be on on or before my birthday, October 26th. Didnt quite make that one.
As for the rest of the year I want to be getter at prioratizing things, finishing projects before starting another one. I also want to start/continue liquidating things I dont need or dont use. Less clutter. Also stop buying things I really dont need and start saving again once we are done moving into the new house.

LOL, not quite. It's my first big move in 20 years. I own some acreage in a summer resort type area about 100 miles from my current residencies. Also a few plots/acres in Philippines and a small island that is about 7 acres, maybe a little bigger. I have not been there yet but from the description and pictures it's nice.
Thanks and yeah it seems to be non ending. Had issues the last couple of weeks with the paint. It's supposed to be satin but it had big glossy areas then flat areas and we used Their (Sherwin Williams) primer, painted, back rolled, painted again and back rolled with the same results. Done with the paint for now after 3 coats on most everything and dropping down to their lessor quality/expensive paint. Starting/continuing refinishing the hardwood floors starting tomorrow.
Cant complain. It pays the bill, allows me to read/post here, surf the net and little to no stress most of the time.
