How to beat a cold?
So I have been battling this cold for about two weeks now and some days I feel better than other but I havent gotten fully sick yet. I have been taking "emergen-C", eating fairly well, I have continued to lift (probably not the best idea but I havent been sick enough to justify taking some days off). Anyone have any tips? Is it worth seeing a dr.?

Vitamin C and L-Cysteine works great for me. Doesn't instantly cure a common cold, but certainly gets it over with quicker.

I do have allergies... maybe I should take some zyrtec or something.... Austinite that "emergen-c" I have been taking has like 1000mg of vitamin c in it... plus I drink orange juice every day and usually some grape juice. Idk whats going on its been two weeks of feeling semi-sick and run down I just want to beat this.

Masturbate it out. What? It's worth a try isn't it?

Eventhough you really don't feel like it, the best thing for a cold is food. Your body needs extra energy when it's fighting an illness. Fuel it.
You also need plenty of rest and fluids.

Zinc, Magnesium and Vit A! Triple the dose for 5-7 days then run maintenance dose through the cold and flu season.

there for awhile, there was a study that suggested that zinc (lozenges, throat sprays, whatever) taken at the first onset of symptoms could reduce the duration and severity of a common cold by up to 50%. Since then, that study has been partially discredited, and now the current think is that there really is nothing one can do, other than treat the symptoms, to treat a common cold.
sorry mates, i think anything else is placebo........

Actually there is a known cure for the common cold that will elevate all symptoms in 24hrs or less. The only problem is it has some mild side effects that some find intolerable.
LSD. yes really it was invented to cure the common cold and is supposed to work very well although I have not tried it myself.
