Palumboism
Today was the first time I saw this term and was pretty sure I knew what it was referring to so I googled it. It's a disease found in bodybuilders where the size of their limbs shrink and their torso and abdomen grow larger as they age ( It was named after npc bodybuilder Dave Palumbo). Caused by massive amounts of anabolics and gh it seems to affect the mass monsters the most. One article whent as far as speculating that the massive amount of drugs might awaken dormant genes from prehistoric man. One thing I did find funny was that one article stated" Upon post mortum autopsy a large amount of a strange oil was found present in the biceps and anterior deltoids)Lmao!!! Some of the transformation photos on you tube were interesting.

GH causes the big gut and Synthol eventually eats away at the biceps? I don't know, but you can definitely tell certain bodybuilder a have that look.

I did some reading on this and some people think it's a combination of a few things
insulin gut + HGH (HGH causes the waist to widen due to the thickening of the bone) makes the core look bigger
Synthol in the limbs causes scar tissue / blood flow issues and when you combine the two looks, it "looks" like the core has gotten huge and limbs have gotten smaller.
I saw a video of bostin loyd doing some competition (forget the link) but he looks like he is already starting with pulumboisim and everyone knows his love of synthol. I think Dave Palumbo was big on that stuff too.
If I mis spelled any of that, I don't give a damn.

Well i was wrong as usual, Chris Clark sells the "synthesize" version and Dave sells something called "painless pumps". I got the two mixed up. Imagine that.

The funny thing is though....when i watch Jay's long videos of him training and then going home eating and his personal life (he puts alot of that into his vids) the guy seems and acts completely normal. I mean hell every Pro bb i have ever watched seems practically normal, train just like me in the gym. I dont know how much those guys are taking, i thought maybe 2-3 grams a week of test TOPS...but 10 grams? Thats stupidity, thats not wanting to be the best you can be that's wanting to die. There is alot of the pro world we dont know about
I follow a few pro's and sometimes they will post some strange things, like this morning, a pro relatively close to where i live posted he didnt feel satisfied with his ham workout and actually drove back to the gym to finish it??? lol, and he says he also trains twice a day am/pm NOT am cardio and weight training in the pm, im talking am/pm hardcore training...so i dont know
Unless you live beside these guys 24/7 you dont know what they are doing. Baffles me.

^^ true. people like jay cutler have doctors who specialize in managing his drugs though im sure. he has a WAY better shot at making it thru healthy than someone like me or u who have to manage it ourselves. but just because he has a better shot doesnt mean it is going to happen. shoot, who knows, maybe they know its gonna end up taking 20 yrs off their life and its worth it to them at the time.
talk about living for the moment.. of course for 20 yrs they have one hell of a run. to a 20 year old it probably seems worth it.

It's not a real term. The phrase was coined on the message board get big years ago by some guys that hated Palumbo and wanted to make fun of him. That's all it was and then some people who had a lot of time on their hands took it further and started passing it all over the net. The idea of limbs shrinking should be enough to let anyone know that the whole thing is more of a joke than truth.
The look it's referring to though, especially the gut that develops...yes HGH plays a role but the combination of HGH and insulin does far more to contribute. Some also say the massive quantities of food and the constant bulking and dieting, stomach in and out in and out over the years plays a role. I'm not sure how much that plays a role, but as I've said several times we do know most bodybuilders, high level competitors, have to have a tummy tuck once or twice.
In all of bodybuilding I can't think of one person who is loved more or hated more depending on the person you talk to than Dave. He's was a very controversial figure in that world for a long time. Now days it seems he simply runs his website and supplement company. And yes, he does sell his own Synthol mix.
