    There's no reason 405 needs to be on the medication. There's a lot of information out there now showing no difference in predictability of health issues even up to 300 total cholesterol given HDL is decent. Statin drugs have a host of negative implications. I would avoid it at all costs. Do what you can to bring it down and keep it from getting much higher, but I wouldn't take this drug for that blood work. Get a second opinion if you must, I think you will be better off without it. Sorry I'm not a doc, but would advise you to look more into it, since it is your health, not the doctor's.

    Called doc today and requested expedited blood work to determine the type LDL presence i have. Until then i am not taking Crestor.

    Ill update when i get results. Hopefully itll be the big, fluffy kind

    Hmmm. I was taken off cholesterol meds after I dropped weight by following suggestions from guys in the nutritional forum.
    I am with u. Don't take that crap unless absolutely certain!

    Not sure how accurate this is, but we do know some of what he says is verifiable. Something to consider. My doc also says elevated E2 can have implications on the heart, although my previous doctor would deny that.
