    Dashboard Cameras

I drive on one of the busier highways in North America everyday to get to work and I see crazy stuff all the time, so I think it may be time to get a dashboard camera.

I know nothing about them or how to even install one, so I figured I would ask you people... I don't want to break the bank... no more than like $200 if that even exists, the cheaper the better... I'm a value shopper.

Does anyone have one and what have your experiences been with one?

ok you need a video camera, and some duct tape

step 1. tape camera to dash board

step 2. turn on camera (if already turned on, skip this step)

I bought mine and it's installed at the shop. The kind of shop that install car sound system and dvd players. Close to $150. Concealed wiring connect into the car power system. Once you start the engine the camera turns on. Video recording saved onto sd card. New files will record over old files. Worry-free once installed. View the files on a laptop when something happens.

Good stuff to have: Friend of mine had some turd *back* into him at a light and try to say he hit him. Waited for the cops, let the guy rant and rave about how he was goin to sue, how his neck hurt, yadda yadda...cop came, spoke to the jerk first, then to my friend. Friend say "Take a look at this Officer...".....pulled out the viewer and ran the last few minutes video and the cop went ape shit on the jerk for lying and accusing and driving like a jerkoff. Worked out pretty well, I'd say. Look here....I'm thinking about it for my Jeep.
