Interesting comment on values. My wife was born and raised in VN. Moved to US 14 years ago (she's 31 now). Her mother is always on her ass making sure my wife is cooking and feeding me and doing whatever I need done. It would be all too easy to abuse those values but I respect her and spoil her like a princess. It's refreshing to be in a relationship where you not only matter but are the most important thing to someone. I don't need someone hovering over me 24/7 but its a huge difference from relationships I've had in the past.

Again, I don't think it's unique to Asian women. I'm sure women from other cultures have strong family and/or marital values, but respect in my home is reciprocal. Doing laundry, dishes, cooking meals, buying flowers a few times a month.....anything I can do to reciprocate and show her I care goes a long way to keeping sane and happy.

Not at all. She was born and raised in Sri Lanka and moved to the states when she was 19. It's just the way their culture is. She genuinely appreciates me and does everything she can to show it.
