It was meant to be a distraction but it didnt got the way they wanted. Luckily some new stations have not forgotten about the VA.

I'm just waiting for him to say he didnt know he was a deserter until he heard it on the news or read it in the paper. How pathetic is that he keeps making those claims. I'm sure some how it's Bush's fault also

It is being reported that Bergdahl has now declared he is a soldier of Islam. Six soldiers were killed looking for this guy back when he deserted his base. Some say Barack Hussein Obama is a muslim terrorist. Especially now that he decided to trade Bergdahl out for 5 murderous enemy terrorists of war being held at Gitmo. Barack agreed to the 5 to 1 swap. Knowing that every terrorist that we have captured and then released has come back to kill more of our American soldiers Obama felt this would be a great idea and with the way the American system is set up he can never be removed legally from office because American citizens cannot vote him out of office. There is no law allowing such a course of action other than impeachment. And even though what Obama has done during his administration like spying on every American citizen and keeping recordings of everything they say on the phones and internet and then going in front of the Americans and lying to them about it telling them that no one has been or is being spied upon or taped is so far more worse than Richard Nixon had done during his Administration As President and Nixon was impeached. But not Obama. Obama is the only president who is omnipotent. He is untouchable. No one now or ever will be able to bring him or his administration down and have him tried for any possible treasonous acts. We are indeed living in strange times. You know I was watching the 60 minutes or 48 hours show on Edward Snowden, the man who broke the story on all of us Americans being spied upon by our own government. And he was asked if he would come home and turn himself in and let the courts decide his fate for copying classified documents and he replied he would love to come home and do that but since 911 anyone even accused of terrorism loses all legality to any trials and all rights as a citizen to any justice whatsoever. So he would never be allowed a day in court cause obamas government would swoop him up and we would never see him again. Man has this country ever changed. we fought Hitler in world war 2 to get away from this type of control only to have America possibly turn into much worse. Man what we were taught in school is nothing like what is going on today. I dont know about the rest of you here but I want our country back to where there was freedom justice and the American way of life. Not something out of Russia where we are followed tracked recorded and disappear when we protest too much about the state of affairs or our government.

No!!!!! You fought in europe purely because Italy and germany declared war on the usa. Giving roosevelt his chance to join the war. You would have fought a war in the pacific only if circumstances stayed the same.

You cant be serious comparing germany in the 30s-40s to the current usa. The usa has more so called "freedoms" than any country on earth. What are you complaining about?

Because its headed in that direction quickly and if things are not put in check it wont be long before we fall. Because things are not there yet does not mean we should not learn from history and wait until it's to late to do anything about it.

Im not sure about this. The rise of nazi germany has many factors that the usa is not facing. America has freedoms and rights that no other western country has. As a example the westpro baptists would be illegal in other countrys but not in the usa.

Your right but many of those rights have been taken away over the years and they are trying to make stuff like that illegal and more.

Like I said if we dont put a stop to it then it will be to late and there will be a lot of dark days ahead.

Blowing off steam? Possibly but i'm extremely worrisome of a government of the people by the people and for the people who is secretly recording everything it's citizens say and do and to what end? And then have it's Commander In Chief stand before All of America and deny said deeds knowing full well it is true! Let me ask you this Euro, how do you feel knowing my same government is recording everything you do and say as well even though you live in Australia? Doesn't that make you just a tad bit ticked? America is supposed to be an open society, not some sneaky closed ultra secretive controlling government so paranoid that it must spy on it's own people for survival as a government. Dude this is some serious stuff. we are the most powerful nation in the world and in the wrong hands that could spell disaster for all of us yourself included. I don't want to come off as some doomsdayer or whack job but this crap freaks me out with good reason I believe.

Answer me this. Your day to day life. Your direct standard of living. Has it been affected by any spying? Is it really that much of a big deal? Ever since 11/9/01 some people seem to be more paranoid. I dont really care if people are tapping my calls or reading my emails because A i have nothing to hide. And B anyone with half a brain knows to conduct business verbally in person.

Half of the problem lies in having 3 levels of government. A local, state and federal. Having a state government is just a waste of money and is not necessary. Its just extra red tape. Having a stronger local government and a over seeing federal government is much more economical and efficient. Now im rambling again.....

I agree with you on the multiple levels of government. And I as well have nothing to hide.

But that is not the point. Its the lies and secrecy that is wrong. Just because it may not directly affect someone doesn't make it right nor OK.

Yes over the last sever years my standard of living has been effected along with millions of others. More than ever people are having to work 2 or 3 part time jobs because employers wont hire full time because of obamacare.

If you had 3 million dollars mostly due to your ancestors hard work and savings but the government came aling and wanted to take away 10% more but explained you would still have more than most people woukd that be ok with you? Maybe. Then later they want another 10% and later only another 5%.

Where does it become not ok with you? That's what's happening to our right and freedoms. Everything that was fought for is slowly being taken away little by little and each generation gives up a little more because some of it they never had so they dont see the loss. Recently the have turned it on overdrive trying to take away more and this is why people are starting to notice.
