    Quesion for all Motorcycle RIders.

anyone have any experience with "Fi2000 PowrPro Tuner"? I have Power Commander and it's not easy to work with, but the makers of Fi2000 are claiming its all automated and no need to do any manual tuning! please chime in if you have any experience with this.

You'll never notice the power difference from editing your own tune.

Yes. I can't specifically speak for a cruiser, I must point that out.

I had a fairly hot ninja zx14, made 190 rwhp.i had a power commander in it with one of the downloadable tunes. Decided to get it tuned by one of our local (reputable) tuners. . He was not able to increase the power. There were a few spots he made the power curve a little flatter, but I couldn't tell the difference

    reality check:

years ago, I invested in a Terry Chip. Supposed to be Power Commander with an attitude. It was supposed to be able to toggle between fuel efficiency and all out torque. They even went so far as to use an accelerator pump on a carborator as an anology. See, in the beginning, most motorcycle carburators were vacuum driven only, without an accelerator pump. For the lay, the accelerator is nothing but a big fancy squirt gun, that is supposed to squirt fuel into the throat of the carburetor for all out acceleration.

    Sounds great, right?

Well, the problem was, none of them worked. My buddy got one, and then I got one. had it professionally installed by a local performance shop. The thing would literally kill the engine at random times. I had to send certified return letters to the "manufacturer" and threaten lawsuits before I finally did get some of the money back. They refunded the purchase price, but not the cost to install, even though I had receipts for it.

The "manufacturer" turned out to be a bloke working out of a garage. he gave the specs to a Chinese manufacturer, and they would send to him. The design "may" have been ok, the problem may have been a QC issue, who knows?

But my point is that the power commander is tried and true. damn thing works. Can you say the same thing for the product you are considering?

thanks for the feedback Hawk, Ernst and TR. well I had my HD service remove the power commander and tune it back to factory settings, and to my surprise the thing ran better than ever! I am sure either the Power Commander was bad or simply not tuned properly, who knows!
