Earthquake!
NorCal earthquake in the Napa area at about 3:20 this morning. 6.0 magnitude, and I'm sitting right on top of it! Our house is a wreck. Drawers ripped out and emptied, furniture toppled and broken. Big cracks in the walls and ceilings. A pretty good shot of adrenalin to start an early day.... now we get to clean up the mess. Glad we're okay and I have insurance for this.

I was wondering how everyone was doing up there. I've been glad to hear that most of the damage was done to things that are replaceable. I guess we get this every now and then when we sign up to live in earthquake country.

True dat. Make sure you have your go bag ready and back up supplies for if you stay.
When I left the house having that bug out bag on my back was an enormous comfort.

OP hope everything turns out OK.
We may have miserable cold in SD but at least earthquakes are one thing we don't have to worry about.

All clear has been sounded in Northern Cali! Upon further investigation of said earthquake in northern California it has since been discovered that it was no Earthquake at all. but instead it was just one of Calgarians robust lady friends who had spent the night with him only to awaken early in the morning to go pee. Since she wasn't all that familiar with Cals home layout she tripped and stumbled over Cals erotic box of play toys laying on the floor. And since shall we say Cal likes them extremely plump well when she fell it shook the neighborhood all night long.

I really feel for you. My wife is from Sendai in Japan, and the prefecture(Tohoku) that her family lives in got hit very bad when the tsunami and earthquake came in March 2011, half of them lost their houses, and mayb 1/5 lost a friend or a family member.
This is a picture I took in the summer of 2011, and it is of one of the many "car-graveyards" that they had.
Hope everything works out for you!
