    Clothes/fashion and personal appearance.

I wondered what measures people take with their personal appearance in terms of clothes and fashion considering we take such pride in our stature and bodies.

I'm always in the jeans/t-shirt combo or tracksuit bottoms even outside the gym and I don't really have an interest in following fashion trends and such.

What about you guys- do your clothes reflect the hard hours you put in at the gym?

    I'm office attire.

    Polo shirt and slacks

but I am careful to wear fitted clothes.

    slim/athletic cut

and a flat top, like Howie Long

I had to google him - his cut is very military.

I'm rocking the high and tight with a full beard!

You're right about the cut - I like stuff to fit!

I bust my ass to do what I do.

Too many people seem to be ok with being obese and wearing clothing that doesn't hide it.

fuk em if they don't want to see veins in my neck and arms popping out while I'm casually sitting

nothing wrong with what we do, so I wear clothes that show what I do and who I am

I have a few suits and even had a couple tailored made a few years ago but I'm just not a suit guy. My wife keeps trying to dress me up but it's just not me.

I'm most comfortable in jeans, shorts and a T or tank.

I personally don't give a shit about being fashionable. I'm more or less a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy. Outside of work and playing golf, you will never see me in khakis or slacks and I definitely won't be wearing a collared shirt.

And I've really stopped giving a shit about shaving regularly or getting regular haircuts. In fact, I kind of like having that week-old beard going every other week. I'll shave my head when I get around to it, but I haven't gotten around to it in over a month.

And even if I wasn't so lazy about my appearance lately, I'd never be that in to wearing the hippest clothes or sporting the latest "do." It just wouldn't feel right. To me a man is supposed to be rugged and not giving a shit about stuff like that. Chicks are supposed to care about that shit. If I started following fashion, I'd feel like I'd have to turn in my "man" card and start following the Yankees.

Guys that workout/in shape make all clothes look good whereas a suit makes most fellas look better / can't hide that big gut in swim trunks.

Wear event appropriate clothes and you'll look great if u have a great physique.

Cuz you got to be kidding right? I can't even wear a large, got to go xl!

Granted my problem with a large is it exposes my back. I'm too tall.

If I could find large/long I'd wear it

I look like I am going to the gym damn near every day. Tight Nike shirts, Jordan shoes and shorts.

I guess that's why everyone asks if I'm a personal trainer - Shit, might as well be one

Damn near everyone has some sort of fitness comment they have to make in every conversation. But, since I like that it's all good.

You'll often find guys who take real pride in their clothes, hair and shoes but don't seem bothered about being generally out of shape. It doesn't make any sense to me..

    Shit, women r even worse.

Y put your makeup on for over an hour when you can go to the gym. I'll take hot sweaty & fit over over weight out of shape with face caked up in makeup.

Lol. I think women feel a lot more self conscious in the gym, maybe it explains the war paint?

I have 30 plus pairs of shoes and this is excluding sneakers. I am sure that answers the question on fashionable appearance.
