Collectors item by now I'm sure.
I have not worn a watch/time piece since I was in my teen. I still have 3 or 4 of them and they all stopped working after a short time withing 5 minutes till or 5 minutes after 12. I just use my phone. I'm not into man jewelry. Wife keeps buying me stuff like 20K thick gold necklace she got from a friend in Dubi years ago, gold bracelet that matches, cufflinks and stuff like that but I wear it maybe 1x a year to make her happy.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Just II. Black face with 18K WG Bezel. Picked one up this summer. No buyers remorse. They can be had on-line used for a good bit less than new...

I would rather spend the money on an experience than something tangible. Of course I always look at those nice watches on VK.

Yea thats way out of my income level also....lol
Do rolexes retain value or does the value drop 50% once you buy it? I hate buying things that are worth half once you walk away with it. Same reason I never buy brand new cars. I buy 3-4 years old. Its a waste of money in my eyes

I have a swiss made watch chronograph very nice but would like another nice watch. Too busy travelling to purchase again and wouldn't be in Marcus' league of time pieces at all ever.
Stunning purchase Marcus

Well, you need to define basic criteria for your watch, then decide on the options -
Are you looking for a dress watch or a sports watch?
Smaller (40mm) or a larger (44mm) piece?
What kind of movement are you looking for; automatic, manual or quartz?
Any complications or extra functions on the watch; chronograph, GMT, power reserve?
And of course the big questions, what kind of brand are you looking for...be it Swiss High-end (Patek, AP, Rolex, etc), Mid range (Hamilton, Tissot, etc) or value (Seiko, Invicta, etc)

For me it's easy. I dont want to pay more the $100 for a $5000 watch but that's only after I have it checked and make sure it's real.

I think that some of the rolex datejusts are pretty sick. They can run about 2k secondhand (few years old).
Some of the secondhand Tags run pretty cheap also.
Pros: cheap tags look better than cheap rolex's. rolex has the brand name that EVERYBODY recognizes
