I saw my mates today, it's not the 6 plus he said it's too big and inconvenient so I'd imagine it's got a joocy screen. I watched a video on YouTube and it failed the drop test very badly. It doesn't look special whatsoever it's the same phone with a new look.
iPhones are for people who can't operate android LOL

Does it even fit into your shirt or back pocket? Why dont they add a gps keytag with it that if it is 15ft or more away a siren goes off at both ends so you know someone snagged it. That may be worth a change?
What I have noticed so far about 90% of the new owners are women. Tell me, do you think most, 80%, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10% of them are interested in the New technology or just the fact it's New and wanted to get it before their friends????????

Get the Galaxy Note 4. The new iPhone isn't worth the $649 for the 16gb (it's only $199 if you agree to a 2 year contract). It doesn't even have a 1080p screen and iOS is godawful. If you look at what you can get with other phones at the same price-point, you're getting ripped off really bad buying an iPhone 6. If the price to own it outright was $199, it might've had some value to it.
That being said, the Apple fan-boys will buy any piece of shit that Apple puts their logo on to.

I was always a Droid user years ago and loved them. I had several. Then on an upgrade my wife and I got new Droids. They both sh!t the bed within months forcing us to pay full retail on the iPhone 5s's. That sucked ass. Now, I've had my 5s since it first came out and she's had hers for a few months now and both phones have been problem free. Hands-down the best phone on the market. Will I get an iPhone6? I'm not sure. I have an upgrade coming up in December but I'm prob. going to hold onto it for the next iPhone because this current phone is awesome.

My iphone 5 is bent in the same place that that 6 plus bent in the video, right after the volume buttons, design flaw sadly not enough structure there to keep the phone strong, mine bet a year ago and then the screen cracked recently because of hte bent area, surprised it didn't crack earlier, but no point in getting a new screen unless I can straighten it out first. In the other video he shows the 6 plus again and his screen cracked while trying to make it go straight again, and the metal was jacked on it. I'm going to assume even a 6 can be bent if my 5 can be. No clue how mine bent btw if that even matters.

I have not heard much about the bending of the iphone 6. I do know that as soon as I bought it I bought a case for it also that is hard plastic so I won't have to worry about bending it. I take care of everything I own anyway.
I have read in one article that the iphone is becoming bent from people putting it in their pockets while wearing skinny jeans. Maybe that will convince them to stop.
My wife loves the new phone but you have to understand that she is coming from a crappy one so she will love any new phone from anyone at this point. She doesn't use the playlist, we work out together usually so we don't listen to music that way I can motivate her.

Checked out one over the weekend that a friend had just got, and I was unhappy. I'm just not a fan of the size ( the one thing that's made me stay away from the droids). My phone goes in my pocket along with my keys and such, so I prefer a smaller phone.

I had blackberry first. Good phone but not enough fun apps
Then iphone.. hated it. Not user friendly at all in my opinion. Who doesn't have a back button?
Now an s4. love it. I can't think of a reason to change. Might look into the s5 but I'm still happy with the s4 so why change?

There are a few reasons to get an iphone...
1. it was free or given to you by your employer
2. you are so used to the UI (user interface) that you just can't or don't want to switch to an android
3. you don't know much or anything about technology
4. you prefer paying for old technology at a premium price
5. you are mentally disabled
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been out for about a year now and is a quad core 2.3 gHz processor vs. apples iphone 6 quad core 1.3 The Note has already had a "bigger" screen and much better display for over a year... AMOLED. The Note gives you expandability with micro sd. The Note allows you to live today not yesterday... lol sounds like I'm advertising for Samsung but really.... I'm just being honest. OH YES.... the iphone 6 has 1 gig of ram... WHY??? my phones 2 years ago had 1 gigs of ram. The note 3 has 3 gigs of ram. Random Access Memory is a BIG deal when it comes to computers / phones so are their CPU'sLast edited by tripmachine; 09-28-2014 at 09:56 AM.

Lmao..... I could really care less about phone technology. I've had iPhones since they came out..... They get done what I need them to. I'm not on my phone browsing a billion porn sites and I don't need to stream live webcams so I guess the iPhone will do.
When the iPhone gets rid of the ability to make phone calls and send text messages..... Ill switch to a droid

From Forbes.com
Four Reasons To Switch From Android To iPhone
After four years with an Android phone, I switched back to iPhone this month. I liked my Android phone, but the smartphone experience is very much a matter of details, and diving into today's iPhone makes me realize how great a job Apple has done, and how strong its franchise truly is.
Details: I had three Android phones from January 2010 to March 2014, a NexusOne, a Galaxy Nexus, and a Galaxy S4, running Android 2.2 (Froyo) at first and 4.3 (Jelly Bean) at the end. The first two phones ran Google-experience Android, and the S4 had Samsung's user interface overlay. My new iPhone is a 5c running iOS 7.1. I originally moved to Android because I was professionally curious about it, and I decided to switch back when I bought a new car and discovered that the interoperability of my near-new Galaxy S4 with the car was miserable (more). Research indicated an iPhone would be much better, and in fact it is.
The switch itself was surprisingly easy. My Verizon contract ties to a phone number (a "line" in telco-think), not a phone, so I bought a good used 5c on Amazon, had Verizon substitute it on the line at no cost, and sold my S4 on eBay: round trip cost about $150. My Exchange and Google accounts downloaded to the phone, and I had a back-up of my old iPhone that restored and updated most of my apps.
The key differences I notice between iPhone and Android:
1. The iPhone user interface is much more polished. Google worked hard to make Jelly Bean quicker and smoother, making substantial improvements, but iPhone is still better. For example, when I type on the iPhone, it shows the letter I am trying to type more often, even though the screen is smaller. I'm guessing this is better software at work.
2. The iPhone app ecosystem is markedly better. Google Play and the Apple App Store both have about 1 million apps, and most major apps are available for both platforms, but, again, the devil lurks in the details. New apps and updates come out first on iPhone. iPhone apps are more feature-complete, e.g., the BMW Connect app that allows me to operate select smartphone apps from the car's control screen supports Pandora and Stitcher on iOS and not on Android, and it just works better on iOS.
3. iOS is stronger at the technical detail level: e.g., when you use an iPhone with a car, Bluetooth streaming audio works properly, you can control which contacts get synced to the car over Bluetooth, and if you have both Bluetooth and a wired connection to the car active, the iPhone smartly sends phone audio over Bluetooth and streaming-media audio over the wire, so both work. (In fact, Google-experience Android gets this right, too, but the Samsung user interface breaks it.) This might be fixed by an upgrade, but then you have the Android update fubar: six months post release, Verizon Galaxy S4 users are waiting for Kit Kat with no news from Verizon, and the update is buggy when you get it.
4. The iPhone camera is just the best: beautiful pictures, and great features like high dynamic range, which both compensates for some limitations of simple cameras, and can create attractive images that remind me of a painting (more).
I miss some Android strengths. The Google apps have more features on Android, e.g. Google Voice can make itself the default option for international calls. Android apps can access more of the system information. This enables, for example, a great signal strength application that shows the details for the voice, data, and wifi connections separately, which I have used to diagnose problems. And a few apps are better on Android: AirWx, a nicely functional weather app that displays the FAA weather information airline pilots use, has gotten me home on a few stormy nights by telling me which connection was likely to work. iPhone has a dumbed-down free version and an expensive pro version.
Fundamentally, the iPhone is more of a phone, and the top tier Android phones, like the S4, are a phone/tablet fusion: "phablets". The iPhone 5 is slimmer and fits the hand a bit better, but the extra screen size has important benefits. The Android calendar has a nice "week" view that iOS lacks on the iPhone but offers on the iPad. The Android key-pad has an extra line of suggested spellings below the text that I find useful. And the map and web-browsing experience is simply better with a bigger screen area. I spend 3-4x more time looking at my phone than holding it to my ear, so the screen experience matters much more than the "talking to toast" objection some have to phablets.
So, I'm looking forward to iPhone 6 with a ~5" screen. It will bring together the strengths of iOS with the one Android phone feature I miss most.
With that gap closed, I'm struck by what a superior product the iPhone actually is. Android has developed fast, shown Apple that (screen) size matters, made the market competitive, and expanded it, particularly in Asia and at the low end, which is great. Apple has built and nurtured the advantages with which it launched the smartphone era: user experience, hardware design and performance, and its app and media ecosystem. It's developed into a top-10 global consumer brand, and most important, it has a large set of loyal and affluent customers who pay up for phones and software, keeping its ecosystem on top.
We are early in the smartphone era. As long as Apple can stay significantly better and take care of its customers, it has a long way to run.

On that note..... I'm done lol. I can't believe I wasted 2 minutes of my life on a google search over something I could care less about.
I guess ill sit in my recliner tonight thinking about how superior android owners are to me
