Your WORST experience on leg day?
We all seem to have had negative experiences due to the extreme exertion brought on by the heavy weights and large muscles of the legs. I've heard of some puking, and others have told me they have almost passed out with extreme dizziness. For me, my head feels like it is going to pop like a balloon.
So, just for shits and grins, let's hear about your "bad" experience?

Well on a regular basis, when I use the leg press, farts get forced out. Which normally, I don't care about, but when there's a female nearby, I get embarrassed.
Sometimes, I sort of feel disoriented a bit and see what look like little specks of strange light moving around. Kind of like if you've ever been mildly knocked out.

I have felt like puking a few times but normally dont get dizzy. For those of you getting dizzy make sure to keep your blood pressure in check.

I regularly get light headed after a really heavy set, or if I have to grind a rep for to long.
Sometimes I get a splintering feeling inside my ribs when I'm maxing, feels almost like someone is trying to poke little needles out of my rib cage.
The worst experience I had was when I got really close to vomiting, after every set I'd take a drink of water and it felt like trying to sip a thick shake after eating 2k calories in 10 minutes. Eventually had to lay down and take a nap in the gym lol.

My worst day was when I tightened up my belt a setting too tight to help get a new PR. I ended the set with a torn intercostal muscle, a popped blood vessel in my eye, and I was seeing black spots in my vision all while getting light headed.

I am a puker I have puked on several leg days. It does seem to break the mood for some of the newbies when they see a person leaning over a trash can in the corner puking.

I used to literally have to carry a small trash can around with me as I would regularly throw up. This was hen I was training with a competitive female BBér. Some of the best workouts I ever had. Sickeningly intense.

Threw up after todays leg day. Literally spewed out yellow liquid, something like lucozade without the nice taste.
My coach was in the gym as well and he said I puked out all the bullshit that I talk in practice (Im a bit cocky/arrogant in my sport)

Finished heavy squats and moved on to leg press and when I got over 1000lbs I wrapped my knees. Well I wrapped my left knee backwards and as soon as I unlocked my knees and came down I heard and felt a pop, it has bothered me ever since, about 8 years now. I regularly would get the colored pin head light show after heavy or high rep sets. I have never puked, felt like it, but never did. I have blacked out and had to grab onto something or I was going down. I haven't trained legs as hard as that period in my life, but it was the most amazing feeling, the combined weight of the workout was retarded, but the body can only do it so long before it starts to get worn out.

I remember when I was in high school, people would make fun of me for struggling to go up and down the stairs 2 days after leg day. That was a pretty bad experience...

fvcking righteous! I love seeing that, but admittedly, it's been awhile......
(and I love that look from everyone staring at the bloke puking.... they turn ashen white!)
separates the serious from the posers.
never puked, but almost hit the deck a couple of times. Now I make sure I don't stand up right away. I play it off by sipping on my shaker cup, and waiting for my face to go from beat red back to something less bright.
Last night was legs. I seem to get more control/power by keeping my feet close together. Just need to make sure I don't rip and get another hernia

I keep my feet a bit wider than shoulder width for squats, I keep my feet 6"-10" apart on leg press. I have legs at 5am tomorrow, might try a couple sets of squats at 4 plates a side if my back is up for it. Slowly building back up my weights on legs, should be seeing color wheels tomorrow, lol.

Forgot this one. Training for a power meet years back my knee wraps broke veins in my gastroc putting me in the hospital for 3 days with all kinds of crap attached to my leg to keep it from clotting. Whole lower leg filled with blood. That ended my days wrapping my knees and I don't miss them at all anymore.

I try not to wrap too tight, but my knees get too wobbly and need some support, at 6'6" I am at a disadvantage mechanically. I used to go without until I went past 3 plates, and a 51/2 there is no way they could take it.

when i was young and (less) foolish, i blew a blood vessel in my head as a result of not breathing properly. the pain was incredible, and i was out for a few weeks. in hindsight, this was kind of scary...
since then, and with better breathing, i've almost fainted a few times, but love being on this edge (because the view is amazing...).

I always worry about passing out because I usually have my phone out, like beside me and sometimes have porn pics pulled up on my phone for extra motivation and would hate for one of the hot trainer chicks who work at the gym to come help me up and secure my phone for me only to find a photo of some chick spreading her butt apart
