Metallica - Jump in the Fire
I've been grooving on this song lately. Local radio station has a "Mandatory Metallica" show while I drive home from work.
Your favorite Metallica? This one is awesome!

Down in the depths of my fiery home
Summons bell will chime
Tempting you and all the earth
Join our sinful kind
There's a job to be done and I'm the one
People make me do it
Now it's time for your fate
And I won't hesitate
To pull you down into this pit
So come on
Jump in the fire
So come on
Jump in the fire
With Hell in my eyes
And with death in my veins
The end is closing in
Feeding on the minds of man
And from their souls within
My disciples all shout to search you out
They always shall obey
Follow me now my child
Not the meek or the mild
Do just as I say
So come on
Jump in the fire
So come on
Jump in the fire
Jump by your will or be taken by force
I'll get you either way
Trying to keep the hellfire lit
I'm stalking you as prey
Living your life as me, I am you, you see
There is part of me in everyone
So reach down, grab my hand
Walk with me through the land
Come home where you belong
So come on
Jump in the fire
So come on
Jump in the fire
So come on
Jump in the fire
So come on
Jump in the fire
C'mon, jump baby, now

Metallica, one of my favorite topics of all time
Favorite song? That's a tough one, probably depends on my mood.
Creeping Death
Fade to Black
Master of Puppets
You can never go wrong with those and I never get tired of hearing them.
Pretty well anything off of Ride the Lightening, Master of Puppets and And Justice for All...hardly a weak track on any of those. And I know some of the die hards don't care for the black album, but Holier than Thou just kicks so much ass it's hard to beat.
The new album next year, I'm trying not to get my hopes up. But I hope they can pull one more good one out and won't try to reinvent themselves again.
The way I see it, Metallica is like a steak house and when you go to a steak house you expect a great steak. They may have the best fried chicken in the world or a great plate of lasagna too, but that's not what you wanted, you wanted Metallica steak and anything less is just food.Last edited by Metalject; 10-24-2014 at 12:24 AM.

I used to have Kill'em All, Master of Puppets, and Justice For All on an mp3 player that I used when I trained. I listened to it on random every day for a couple years and never got sick of it. Jump in the fire was one of my fav's, it got me so amped up, I could just feel my energy and power levels rise. Ah, the good old days, I might have to try and find these albums and load them to my phone.

I like all the albums, even the Garage covers. The only exception is St. Anger, I didn't care for that one.
As far as the Load albums, those get a lot of flak and they were definitely not very Metallica like but still good albums. Still, the first five albums, especially albums 2-5 are their all-time best hands down IMO.

Two of the coolest Metallica vids ever. Live from Moscow 1991. The size of the crowd is beyond ridiculous! Over 1 million people.
The energy in this first video, I've yet to see another band that can create a level of energy like this...in my opinion, whether you like them or not, no other band comes close to this.

Metalject and I were talking about Metallica a long time ago and I suggested his avy and he's still got it today. Very nice.
I'm a huge metal fan in general and Metallica started it all for me.
Waay too many to pick a fav... One, sanitarium, frayed ends of sanity, fade to black, blackened.. Shit.. Damage inc. maybe the all time best for me.
Anyone like volbeat? Singer sounds a lot like Hetfield and the guitarist is sick.

Funny you should mention Volbeat. I just got into them maybe a month or two ago. Awesome band! Definitely a strong Metallica influence with some of the riffs, but also a pretty big Johnny Cash influence in their sound...one of the most unique bands I've ever heard, IMO. I'm not really sure how to classify them in terms of style other than to say they're pretty solid. I was glad to come across them...I've been stuck on the heavier music for a long time, Lamb of God, Bodom, etc. so this was a welcomed change of pace.
Oh, and another thing I like about Volbeat, great lyrics, well thought out and put together...unlike most bands today, you know, like Fiver Finger Death Punch, cool riffs but lyrics sound like they were written on toilet paper while taking a dump. (A few songs are the exception)

I saw Metallica in Toronto years ago, we were on the floor for the first half then it was just too much. It was the loudest thing I have ever heard, my ear drums were distorted for 2 weeks, even my own voice sounded like a blown speaker to me. It was a crazy show, all old stuff for the first half then new stuff, load or re-load tour I think it was.

my fav metallica jam is the Orion instrumental, Nothing Else Matters, My Friend of Misery, etc. I got my metal start on Metallica, now I'm into more modern metal.

I am not really into metal anymore, I am an electronic junkie, deep house, tech house and some trance.

Best album for listening to by them is kill'em all and And justice for all those two albums flow really well.
My fav song by them is For whom the bell tolls just a crazy song tbh never gets boring.
One thing I hate about later modern Metallica albums is the fact they compress the death outta em which destroys the sound quality when listening on a decent hi fi
