Vacation time
I decided I took to many days off work this year with no plans and each time I ended up being sick or not getting 1/2 of what I had planned done or going where I wanted to so I made plans this time.
Taking the woman (Asian of course) to Mexico, Playa Del Carmen. (The Royal Haciendas) Ive been to Cancun several times, Cozumel, Cabo and a few other spots. It will be her first time there so we are going to do a few of the touristy things like Chicken itza and Tulum. If we get bored maybe some scuba. I have taken her once before in the Philippines and she enjoyed it.
Of course I will hit the local Walmart and pick up some good Tequila while I am there. I have done a few all inclusive resorts before and always found them pretty good. The resort I choose this time had pretty much the highest rating from users everywhere I looked so it should be OK. I hope they have some asian food though, she doesnt care that much for Mexican. lol
I might even hit the gym once or twice. Usually on vacation I dont do the gym much but usually I'm up all night looking for strange and since I will be bringing sand to the beach I may have some spare time.

LOL Sorry I'm thinking Chicken Pizza because thats how they tell you to pronounce it.
3 sisters all younger. The only cute one (besides mine) is the youngest and she just turned 18 so I have dibs on her.

We went there 10 years ago but stayed at a different resort. It's a crazy world because at the resorts and destination spots it's the most beautiful place on earth. But, then 2 miles down the road and it's total slums. We went shopping in the wrong area once and there were literally cops driving around with machine guns standing in the back of a pickup truck. Needless to say we didn't get any shopping done.

We went in 06, stayed in a resort that you could walk out of into the town, it wasn't gated off. There is a tourist street with bars and shops that we would walk up and down, it was really cool at night. There is a snorkeling swimming place called Shell ha(spelling), that was a nice day trip, we also did Tulum.

My wife and I love the all inclusive resorts. We did Cabo last summer. Never even left the resort.

Well I'm back home to the cold mid 30s.
We had a good time. I think it's the longest we have been together without a fight. Damn Asian/Filipino tempers, they love to argue. lol
We did Chichen itza, it was my 3rd time and they have opened up a lot more since the 1st time I went although they have also roped off more so you cant walk on anything anymore and there are 10x the merchants trying to peddle their stuff than last time. It gets a little annoying when you have 20 guys in a row saying everything is just $1. No it's not, bait and switch tactic when you try to buy something they say it's $1 off. lol
We also did a newer pyramid site called Coba. It's a LOT closer than Chichen Itza but it's also a lot smaller as in what has been restored. The main pyramid is taller at Coba though, 122 steps vs 90 at Chichen Itza.
We went to another tourist trap called Xtream. It was a nice little day get away. They had a decent zip line run you could go on as many times as you want and it took you all over the park, 9 different towers all connected from one to another so each one you would just have to climb a tower to get to the next one. They also had a lot more underground tunnels to walk through and a also take a kayak.
Of course I did a little shopping and brought back 4 bottles of Tequila, one of them being 1.5L. I have found Mega to always have the best selection and prices for Tequila, even better than Walmart.

I also enjoy cruises. I went on a 5 day and 7 day cruise back to back. They let me stay onboard for the transition even though they were not supposed to.
I usually get a suite, they are nice. Ive seen reports that show its cheaper to live on a cruise ship than a retirement home in most cases and the food is a he'll of a lot better.

I wanted to do a cruise this year but my wife wasn't having it. We went to Vegas instead and it was fun but I think the cruise would have been way better. I've never been on a cruise before.

You might have to do the same thing I did. Mine did not want to go to Mexico. No matter how much I told her about it or showed her pictures in her mind it was Tijuana , dry, hot and dusty, not tropical. Finally I just set it up and bought tickets and told her we are going.
After we got there and as the days continued she kept saying how beautiful it was and how it was so much like the Philippines. lol
