Anything you can do for a distended Xyphoid Process?

I ask because mine is VERY pronounced. The leaner I am the worse it looks Looks almost as if I have a 3rd upper ab. Not sure if an orthopedic or a plastic surgeon could simply push it back in by slightly breaking it? I also don't want to have something that keeps me out of the gym for a long period of time.

My brother had one as well, but he grew out of it. I looked at your profile, and didn't see your age, but if you are quite young you could still see some improvement in time. I haven't heard of any procedure for this, and doubt it is commonplace, but you still might find someone who has done it. Googling hasn't turned up anything useful?

I'm 38 so I doubt I'm going to outgrow it. It's something that came about in the last year or so which is odd. I prob. jacked it up training BJJ or something. Google hasn't found what I am looking for. Guess it's quite uncommon.

Yeah, I don't think you're going to outgrow it now! I've never heard of that sort of problem developing - maybe one of the medical peeps will be along with something more helpful.

    Wikipedia says this:

Anesthetic and steroid injections are commonly employed to treat this medical condition.[3]

Sounds like a good excuse to cycle.
