squat pads are retarded......i personally don't like that style belt either....i like more power lifting belts, and if you're gonna wrap your knees then go all the way and use real wraps.....those slip on things are even harder to get on and they don't work near as well

    yah Squat PAD is stupid.

and the belt is good to have on hand for really heavy lifts.. but using it, will not excersize certain muscles in the area, causing them to weaken creating more potential for injury down the road.

I was lookin at the belt cause I need extra support due to an injury I sustained a while back. I dont want to re injure it and yes, I will only use when needed.

i have two belts, the same exact Schiek shown there and a lether Valeo belt
i use the Schiek belt for wakeboarding and knee boarding because it gives me back support and i use the Valeo one for the gym
the Schiek belt is comfortable as hell, but the Valeo is stiffer
I own two because when im wakeboarding i wear it for a longer period of time, hence why i chose the more comfortable one, and in the weight room, i only use the Valeo for deads and squats so my time wearing it is short

    are u squatting properly???

Squat is the one excersize I see the most people **** up LOL..
    they don't keep good form.

Always keep your eyes up on the ceiling bro, and maybe put 10lb weight under your heels.. Keep your back straight, shoulders shouldnt have anything at all to do with a squat.

I keep my back pretty straight, and I keep my heels driven into the floor when goin up. I dont think my form is the problem.

Try staring straight into the ceiling, head tilted all the way back over the bar.. dont look forward ever!, u loose form, and weight tips forward more onto your shoulders.

its kinda hard to manuever around, cause u have to feel with your feet where u're standing and u shoudlnt look down..... but if u're not doing this already, it can only help you.

I dont se the point in the belt except as a aid in making the lower back warm quicker I like my belts thick and sturdy, pl belt.

For the knees, If you just want something to keep the knees warm and give some stability go with rehband kneeprotection. They are top notch

I have never seen the point in squat pads?? But I squat with the bar low so that might be why.

http://www.rehband.com/ its a nordic brand but they sell all over europe so I guess they must be aviable over there aswell. Check the site if they have anything listed.

About belt. Im not sure. I got mine for free(a damn good belt aswell) when I bought 2 tubs of whey You can probably buy one from here
    http://www.elitefts.com/
but they are quite expensive on most things. If doc squat sees this thread he might know where to get cheap quality pl gear.

My belt is twinlab so maby twinlabs homepage sell them.
