Always glad to hear someone taking in a new "family member". Dogs give a lot, but don't ask for much.... just a little love.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Also if you have to take them to a vet it cost as much as a person anymore. Just for regular check up you probably spend $500+ a year and that's if they are healthy.
What happened to the good ole days when the only time you took a dog to the vet is IF it got hurt and needs stitches and it cost you $50. Shots cost about $25 for lifetime. No such thing as tratment for cancer, it was called $15 -$25 to put them down. To remove a tumor (most people left them) it was maybe $150.
People are spending thousands on pets now days. Sorry I just couldnt do it so that's one of the reasons I dont have dogs or cats. Ill stick to reptiles.

Yeah....they are doing better now. Puppy instigates everything. But older dog is pushing back now. Older ones a little p×××× lol. House training isn't going so well.....never had this much of an issue. We got to the point where half the time is on the patio at least lol.
