I saw a story on the news a while back where a study showed that running on a treadmill does not make you live any longer. Then they laughed about using this as an excuse to their trainers to get out of running that week. I wish at least one person would have said "Some people run to burn calories." Instead of looking at one aspect that was not relevant unless running on a treadmill makes you die sooner.

To be honest I don't get this. The bodies primary fuel source during aerobic exercise is fat. That being said I don't have clients do tons of cardio and I don't do a ton myself except to make myself ready for the APFT. But cardio training has its benefits. If you completely neglect any kind of low intensity steady state cardio you are missing tons of benefits in my opinion.

To say that article is misleading is an understatement.

See, KelKel has been doing it right all along, he always says he hates cardio and I'm right there with him. lol

If you want to lose fat you need to increase your metabolism by lifting weights and signal your body to burn fat with short high intensity bursts or sprints.

Never been a fan of LISS cardio, hell I've never even tried it out.

I just always do HIT because it's not as boring and I can get it out of the way quicker.

There are certain benefits that HIT can't give you. All have to do with an aerobic training effect. Might wanna reconsider.

I never quite got the point to a spin class. Why do people feel the need for a class to ride an exercise bike?

I'm guessing it's for the competition. They like someone yelling at them to go faster, kick it up a notch and so on. If I want someone yelling at me ill just stay home.

You know what if they pay me, I'll strap some chains around the chassis of my car and attach it to them. And they can pull my car around town like a sled.

But yeah, if they wanted to be yelled at, they should just get married.

I don't know. I have actually jumped on a bike and just did my own private class. It's not as fun tho. I am more social and do kicking everyone else arse. like LB said...the competition.

This hour and half class will be fun. I am taking extra water probably 72 oz or more. It makes me sweat!!!

Actually I gaze at the hot guys doing chin ups right outside the spin studio. These guys are especially ripped. I duly appreciate the ones wearing the big arm holed tees. The ones opened most of the way down. Damn. The definition and pumped muscles on some of these guys is outstanding motivation.

Oh so that's why I feel like I'm being undressed when I'm doing cable pull downs next to the big window by the spin room.
