    dizzy, lightheaded, and double vision

    Ok, bare with me.

Well, I've been sick for the past week. It's not like any other type of sickness I've had before. It started on Friday where I was having some dizzy spells. Nothing major so I brushed it off. Went to the gym over the weekend and felt fine. Then, Monday morning at around 2AM, I woke up, rushed to the toilet, and started vomiting. This carried on roughly every hour for the next 12 hours. I was so dizzy and off balance during this time, there were times when I nearly fell down on my way to the bathroom. I decided enough is enough, so I went to a local clinic. I told the doctor my symptoms, she looked in my ear and noticed it was a bit red, so she gave me a shot of penicillin and a steroid , along with something to ease my stomach.

    Then I went home.

Tuesday I was still pretty dizzy, but I was just glad that I quit vomiting. Wednesday came, and that's when my real problems started. I was already light headed from the moment I woke up. I had to go to Lowe's hardware to pick up some lumber. I pay, walk out, and load my material on my truck. That's when I was hit with double vision. I literally saw two of everything. Driving was out of the question, so a co-worker came to pick me up.

He took me to another clinic.

I told the doctor what had been going on, but she really didn't have a satisfactory answer for me. She suggested I see an eye specialist. I went to an eye specialist, and my eyes checked out just fine, even above normal. She suggested it may be due to the ear infection, and to give it 5-6 days for the penicillin to do its work. So that was my plan. However...I woke up the next morning feeling even more light headed than the day before. I decided I was going to see my primary physician. So, I tell him the whole story of what's going on, and he runs some neurological tests which came out fine. He said it may be due to the ear infection, but if I don't improve by mid next week, he will give me an MRI on my head. He drew blood to run some labs consisting of kidney, liver, and thyroid performance, CBC, and a few others. He also gave me some pills to take for vertigo, but they aren't helping at all.

My eyesight is fine, my blood pressure is fine, neurologically I'm fine. Has anyone had to deal with this before? I haven't been to the gym at all this week because the moment I exert myself at all, the double vision starts to come back.

Thanks for the response, RC. Honestly, I don't know how long I've had the slight inflammation on the inner ear. My last doctor who looked at it said it didn't look all that bad. I felt no pain from it whatsoever. If I hadn't been told that my inner ear is slightly red, I wouldn't have even known it. No headache either.

So, I've been trying to figure out what I've changed since all this started. The only new compound that I've been taking is Toremifene at 60mg per day. I'm in my 4th week of PCT, and I've run Toremifene from the beginning of it. I will be ending the Torem tomorrow though.

I guess I'll just have to ride this out until next week unless it gets better.

Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in and the inflammation will subside. The inflammation could have been putting pressure on something causing all of those problems.

    Keep us posted!

Well, I went to bed at 7:30 last night and woke up 12 hours later. Although I'm still a bit dizzy, I'm much better than I have been the past few days. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have even more improvement.

    Most definitely it's a tumor.

No, I got to agree, really sounds like the ear infection. They can really mess with you especially the vertigo and double vision more than you would think.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Got my blood work back and nothing was abnormal. I wasn't too bad on Saturday, but all day Sunday I was really dizzy and light headed. Today I was better; felt good enough to go to the gym at least. I noticed it got worse when I started lifting, but it wasn't too much to handle.

We'll see what the next couple of days bring...

Careful you dont pass out at the gym or someone may perform CPR on you who isnt qualified and smart enough to check for a pulse breaking your ribs during chest compressions and slipping you the tongue.
