I dont need to be prideful because I'm above all that. Not many are perfect like me.
I always tell the truth, even when I lie.

I think there is a difference between being prideful and being proud, even though the two words technically mean the same thing. I am proud of what I have accomplished and am continuing to achieve; I am not, however, unjustifiably prideful. At least I give effort not to be.

For me pride turns to vanity when the act of being proud becomes an unhealthy obsession with ones image.
A good test would be seeing if a person lost those muscles, had their look change or leave them. Then would they still be proud of them self? If not, then maybe image was too important to begin with.
In terms of bodybuilding I think of Arnold Schwarzenegger as a good example of someone who was proud with their image but not overly vein. He obviously spent time on his body and had one of the greatest physiques in history, but also moved into other areas. Successful at acting, moved to politics, enjoyed pushing himself to the limits in all areas of life apart from bodybuilding. To me that is a healthy pride in ones self and an example to follow!
