2015 Canadian Federal Election

A reminder to all Canadian citizens living at home and aboard that this October is our federal election. We have had record low turnouts in the most recent federal elections and it is time that all Canadians got up and voiced their opinion.

Canada uses a "First Past the Post" system which has allowed political parties who have received even as little as 1/3 of the vote to form a majority in Parliament.

Remember to vote!

First past the post is a good system. We keep getting fuc*** over with the preferential system. Thats some low voter turn out hog. We get a fine if we don't vote. Thats freedom ay haha

The changes are already starting. Canada's new Minister of Defense, a Sikh named Harjit Sajjan, has served 4 tours of duty, 3 in Afghanistan and 1 in Bosnia, and is an 11 year veteran of the Vancouver police, as a detective specializing in gang activity. A far cry from the career politicians with no military experience who filled the position under Harper.
