Water bottle
Hi everyone this could be in the wrong section so apologies if it is. I was recently I'll with a stomach bug sickness and diarrhea. and I have decided to blame the water fountain at work. It was installed about 7 yrs ago and hasn't been touched since it is disgusting. So what I'm looking for is a good water bottle that is around 2 liters I think that's 64oz in the USA . I am reluctant to use old coke bottles ect as the plastic is said to leach into the water. I work a manual job so it would need to be tough, doesn't have to be made of steel just don't want it to burst first time I put it down down. Any help/advice very much appreciated thanks again.

Moonshine... lol
Dude, you are over thinking and being paranoid. How is your tap water there? If your tap water is good the drinking fountain is probably fine unless you are putting your lips onto the water outlet. If you really think it's bad then mention it to the maintenance crew to have them fix it.
As for water bottles just go shopping and find one that fits your needs. Personal I use a normal every day water bottle you buy water in. I use it for about 2 weeks then finally toss (recycle) it. Rinse it out once in a while and you should be g2g.
The myth about the plastic leaching into the water has been debunked long time ago. The theory was if you leave it in your car during the summer and it gets HOT in your care it will cause chemicals to contaminate the water but it has never been proven, except on facebook. lol

I use aquafina 1.5L bottles and refill them with the RO water from my water machine. I won't drink tap water, that shit is gross.

Still can't bring myself to drink it. I was at my dad's in Jasper Alberta where the water is claimed to be one of the best in the country, I could still taste the difference and didn't like it. To each there own, I just prefer r/o filtration with ultraviolet filtering on top to make sure nothing makes it through. I can tell when the treatment plant is having issues, the smell of heavy chlorine coming out of the tap points to contamination of some sort.

where i live they treat the sewage water so when it comes out of the tap it literally smells like a fart. wtf this should be illegal who the fk ever thought it would be a good idea to separate the water from piss and crap and drink it! so I only drink bottles and if I don't have bottles I boil it and keep a good Brita picture to filter

I don't blame you for avoiding the plastic. No point in possibly ingesting more endocrine disrupters - there are some plastics that are BPA free, but I think we are only at the beginning of understanding the problem with plastics/hormone, so I still avoid plastic for my family. Glass is nice and inert but a pain, and potentially dangerous (altho there are neoprene covers for some bottles that reduce likelihood of breakage). You could try stainless steel like Kleen Kanteen.

Thanks for the input guys my tap water at home is perfectly fine but I don't trust any of the water fountains at work anymore. I know there are loads of water bottles avaliable my issue is not being able to re fill them at work. That's why I was looking for a large one as I drink around 2 liters a day at work. I could take two small one but it would be a bit of a ball ache. I will look into the ones that were mentioned. At the moment I am re using a old 2 liter coke bottle witch I'm sure would be fine but just fancied getting something proper if that makes sense. Again thanks for your input

Kleen aka teen as suggested by angel above. It's what I use although not the size you want but they do a huge one.

For work I just fill a one gallon milk jug with filtered water and keep it in cooler. You could do the same with a half gallon.
My kids use those stainless steel bottles which hold up well but are pretty small. There are some with great reviews on Amazon.

RO water! The absolute best. I would want one but don't have the space.
I refill my plastic water bottle over and over and over with crappy tap water. A lady at work sees me with my bottle and reminds me of the cancer risks every time. She's a cancer survivor.

That's what I do lb, I have 3 jugs and costs me a dollar a piece to fill. If you can't get one of those, at the very least buy a brita bottle with the built in filter.

I drink out of the tap and it tastes good around my area. But for some reason the water at work tastes funny. I still refill my water bottle at work or I bring a gallon jug to work. I have a Nalgene water bottle that's BPA free. It's very durable. I've had it when I was over seas. On construction sites. Dropped it off the staging 8 floors up and still no issues. They have water bottles now that have a filter in them. You could look into something like that if you don't want to bring a gallon jug to work
