So many people giving up on life

People who remember me i have not posted in a while i injured my back 13y ago, but i did it almost back 100% with prolotherapy and PRP.

Now i was at the job the other day and they hired a bunch of younger IT technicians around 25 to 35.

Most of them are very obese, morbidly obese.

My co worker used to be slim he is tall 6 feet 2 but in the last year he must have gained close to 30 pounds and he is starting to show serious sides of estrogen dominance.

The other night at my job we where ordering food he always orders food fries with chicken breast and extra large onion rings, 2 cokes. I usually order chicken with a baked potato or else but i keep of the fast food crap.

I said man do you realize that in the past year you gained a lot of weight and even if its not for aesthetic reason your health might suffer in the long run. He did tell me that he wanted to get back in the gym and do more cardio.

He said who cares most people in there early 30 just give up on life, its like there appearance does not matter anymore.

Even if i am still single now my appearance matters to me, its not because i am over 40 that i will let my weight climb back to 260 pounds and look awful.

Life as been hell for so long for me but i never had a doubt in my mind that some day i would heal this injury and get passed all the crap that was happening in my life and i did last my separation losing my house and now i am back on track.

I lost the weight still a bit more to lose and now i feel great i eat good, training is going good of course i cannot do what i did before i was injury free but just to be back in the gym is amazing in plan on getting the snapping hip joint fixed and look into getting back in martial arts.

I just don't get it why so many people give up on life there is a very limited amount of older people in there 50-60 and even 70 that are still active they are my inspiration because i want to be like this when older.

Imo many of the faithless live in a hopeless world. They think they have nothing to live for. Just look at many of the children of today, they are so confused, neglected and terrible things ensue. Mankind is headed rapidly in a horrible direction.

    I've got 99 problems......but my squat/dead ain't one !!

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

Light travels faster then sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

i'm not sure i get the point... i certainly understand the weight gain problem of people in their 30's as their lifestyle changes and metabolism slows down. but are you saying that these people are giving up on life?

many of them are starting families, and i can tell you from personal experience that it's REALLY hard to keep your career on track and have a baby/toddler AND hit the gym/eat clean. i took 10 years off in my 30's and put on a little gut myself. but i was not hopeless about life.

now the kids are older, my career is more advanced (i can coast a little if i want), and i can (and do!) take the gym and eating clean much more seriously.

I'm 30 and I'm far from thinking like that. I have noticed that more and more people are getting over weight now a days. It actually seems normal for people to be over weight. I don't have any kids but if I did. I'd want to at least be in decent shape. For my kids sake. Being active with them and make sure I'm not setting them up for a unhealthy life style

One thing that really got me was an office job. Sitting on your ass all day, for whatever reason, made me very tired. Before I started office work, I had jobs where I was more active and at the end of the day, I would have more energy.

Physics my friend, you need to use energy to create energy! I am the same way, as a professor, some days I feel wiped and I did NOTHING.

That makes sense. If I take the weekend off from the gym. I'll feel more tired than I did if I went to work doing my construction job and going to the gym afterwards

Yes my point excatly, office jobs i agree, but lunch time you can go walking if weather is good outside, i work 3 nights a week 12h shift and i am sitting all the time, i built a home gym in my condo nothing to dream about simple i have a room just for that, also a punching bag wavemaster and i boxe for cardio and a exercise bike. I walk a lot too.

I understand people starting families, and careers and more but remember that 90% of people are getting separated today for no reason, my ex left me after 9y for her soul mate, after 2y he left her and now she regrets leaving me, well the grass was greener on the other side you left you are gone.

The world today is really fk up. And don't get me started on online dating sites with 40y + women with 2 kids full time dead end jobs that are shallow hahah.

Used to work for me, the more fat chicks are there it is easier for me......but not anymore, but i see what are you saying. I work in IT and with engineers, I see 4 to 1 ratio of people that are over weight and then they eat like crap ( donuts , white castle) and when I say no thank you i get "are you crazy" look.

The best one are the ppl that think they are still in shape. I work with a guy that has fitness close on every day all day. (Size to small to) because he thinks he is in shape. The guy can't walk up one flight of stairs and refuses to hit the gym with me! Then tells me I'm doing something wrong haha
