The big question!
I now this is a steriod forum but what the hell. I feel like I have gotten to now some of u more then just your ability to lift and eat!haha
Since u all have such fun ideas. What's a good way to pop the question to my old lady?
I kinda want to make it difficult on her. Don't really want to make it all lovey dobby. (We always give each other a hard time with things)
So yea a good way to ask the engagement question?

Maybe because you always give each other a hard time you should do the opposite.
Figure out someplace romantic and just say "we have a such a great relationship. We can joke and play and give each other a hard time and know it comes from love. There's something else though that comes from that love..... In its sincerest form..... Will you marry me?"
BOOM!
Thank me later

I'm a fan of sincerity. I would avoid statements like "you know how much you mean to me," and tell her how much she means to you. If you get choked up while you do it, then fvckin cry. Go big or go home. If you're asking her to spend her life with you, then she deserves that much. She's marrying you, not the scenario. Courage and confidence are not the same thing and courage > confidence. Do the more difficult thing. Best of luck, man!

Man im in a similar situation... been with my girl for over 6 years now and I think its time to pull the trigger. The only thing that scares me is asking her fathers permission. I really dont think he would say no its just the idea of trying to go over there and just talk to him about it. OP did you ask her fathers permission?

Yea the father and all 3 brothers!
It's not as hard as u think. I just told her dad that I'm go I going to take care of his daughter for the rest of my life and showed him the ring. (He was happy)
Two of the brothers are really cool. They are really happy about it. The other isnot big on talking and I get the vibe that he doesn't like his sister dating me but what ever.

Congrats and best of luck not only with how you plan to do it but also the journey you two are about to embark on. Any beautiful, scenic areas around where yall live? Or if not maybe shoot for a long weekend away with just the two of you and do it while there?
I got reservations at a nice restaurant in a larger city about an hour from where we live. Got done and just started "randomly" walking. Ended up on a walking bridge that crosses the Tennessee River. Stopped halfway across and asked her. Figured she would say yes, jump off to get away, or throw me over. Fortunately she said yes because I wasn't looking forward to the swim.

congrats, bro. i hid her ring in an easter egg and we did an easter egg hunt. suffice it to say, she enjoyed the prize. :-)
this is a bit in between the 'giving her a hard time' and 'being sincere' - i'd call it the playful option.
xmas is coming up - perhaps something in the stocking?

Ok guys and girls. Tonight's the big night! I have decided to take the advice of some of u and make It romantic! So again thank u.
In about a hour she will be walking into my house with rose petals and candles that will guide her to a rose petal heart saying marry me and me of course asking!
