Fell off the wagon.
As some of you may have noticed I haven't really been commenting or anything for a couple of weeks. (At least not as much).
I lost track of my diet, stopped working out and started my old ways and I just opened my eyes and said sh**. Haha
For the question, I'm back to lifting today. How do u guys get yourself back into the life when u fall out?

Although I didn't 'fall off the wagon' like you did, I will be jumping back into gym next week after my hernia surgery a few weeks ago. I don't know how long you've been out, but I would start with moderate weight and work your way back into it. No reason to risk an injury. That doesn't mean you can't give it 100% though; lower weight, more reps until your body is used to handling the weight again. As far as mindset, I guess I don't really have any advice on that as I rarely have a problem with wanting to go to the gym. I just love throwing the iron around. I would just suggest you take a pre-workout, put in your earbuds, and get after it. Once you're through the first few sets, that feeling will come back to you. At least it does for me.

just do it. pending your age you need to ramp in appropriately so as to avoid joint injury. either way it will suck, so don't fall off anymore! just adjust (that's what i've done for the last 16 years - i'm 53).

Set your goals smaller, look for even the slightest of improvements to give you positive reinforcement allowing you to keep at it.

I have lost motivation a couple of times and I just looked at the pictures of myself from 10-15 years ago and that's all I need to get motivated again.
